Attacking Bosses

I've noticed when I attack bosses, either from World Boss or the Boss Raid, my Purrfection doesn't always use the most effective skill on the boss. It usually attacks with Mind-Bending, no matter the boss -- and on the off occasion that it uses the more effective skill, it is clear that the damage massively outdoes the damage of Mind-Bending.

So to my point. Why doesn't the auto feature used when attacking bosses (or even sometimes fortune race and ladder tournament) use the best skill when attacking? It just seems like a waste of a good portion of extra damage.

It just doesn't work, take mind bending off for wb or keep it for adventure. It's a tough choice but that's how it works.

The AI ignores the ability of your purr while calculating which move will deal the most damage. Since purr has a higher mATK, choosing a yoga purr with base 90 physical attacks will get the AI to choose mind bending (since it chooses the most damage dealing move with the ability ignored).
