Upgrading mutants

I wonder when upgrading mutants do you need more of the same mutant or can you use their normal counterparts

Good question, I would think you need more of the same mutant, because with some talent differences and stats differences it would only seem logical. We will know soon though, maybe this time tomorrow. I know a few players that have a couple of the cyg mutants and were close to S lvl 50 with them. If I hear, Ill be sure to post..
