Recommended moves for epics

I haven't found a thread that helps beginners with picking the proper moves for their mons. What do you guys think are the recommended moves for the various epics? I'm not sure how to set these guys up.

Is it smart to put different element attacks on a Meniss or Felicity?

What about their skills? I know Felicity should have Own Tempo for Psychic Thrust

More specifically,
The ones I have:
Meniss
Blaze
Smiter
Cygness
Brawny
Flaunt
Thor

The ones I plan on getting:
Scythe
Clawpard
Felicity
Purrfection

Thanks guys. I am not very knowledgable about things like this

Re: Recommended moves for epics

My Faerivy:
Malicious
Lethal Powder
Underworld Leech
Photosynthesis
Paralysis Powder

It's *massive* DEF/MDEF allows it to tank the hits while attempting to Severe Poison the opponent. Using Underworld Leech on free turns. Paralysis Powder is used for the SPD decrease which will allow the slow Faerivy get it's turn first to cast Photosynthesis and for the 25% chance to be unable to act allowing the poison to do more damage. It might not be a sweeper like a Magic/Force III or Adaptability monster, but when a sweeper can't sweep Ill sub in Faerivy which can kill anything, really good for tricky level bosses.

Purrfection:
Yoga
Poison Leaves
Massive Boulder
Fire Blast
Iajutsu

Built entirely around Yoga and to be a monster in World Boss/Boss Raids. Massive Boulder was a test to see if a 120 power move would get used over Mind Bending, it proved unreliable so I overwrote Mind Bending with Iajutsu. Now I have an element advantage attack for the regular elements. Iajutsu is to give me a ~120 power move with no penalty against Psychic opponents, Massive Boulder is for Ghost or times when losing DEF wouldn't be a major problem. I think Iajutsu was a bit of a mistake though, I could probably have found a better skill for the slot.

Re: Recommended moves for epics

On monsters you listed:

Blaze and Thor are standard 120 power, 90 power, 55 power, Weather monsters using Adapt on Blaze and Adrenaline or Force III on Thor. Thor operates well with a water lead which brings us to...

Cygness (and Brawny) with Weather Therapy II, first turn cast weather and they become tanky monsters that take a while to take out without weather advantages. Because you cast weather, round out with a 120 power slot and the workhorse 90 power move. Keep Waterspout on Cygness it can lay some major hurt on element neutral or advantage monsters (but come out as water damage so only does half the damage you take back to Fire/Electricity). Brawny's last slot can be your choice, keep Earth Quake or maybe get an upgraded Memory Wipe which boost DEF *and* MDEF if you can get Brawny Silver or just go with Martyrdom for mass damage. You could also DEF Boost as a talent and become very strong against Physical attacking monsters, but it's poor MDEF will still get you in trouble.

Re: Recommended moves for epics

Ty_Furry,

For your meniss, I think the best was to use it is by giving it the talent hypnosis jinx II and then teaching/upgrading cunning and adding 3 other diff elemental magic attacks such as chill, fire bomb, and underworld leech. This way, the damage will stack after if/when the opponent survives cunning.

The reason I choose attacks and would not recommend POD is because in ladder meniss will choose POD to survive instead of attacking thus costing you a turn to attack which can sometimes be the difference between winning and losing against the stronger opponents. Once you're facing players with gold monsters and +6 120 attacks, POD becomes useless. Stick to magical attacks that you can upgrade and stack after using cunning while/if their monster's asleep.

Clawpard: Inverse as a talent and 2 Aurora Borealis slots allow you to get massive MDEF, great for Meniss and Vertedeaths casting Cunning in levels as well as Thorny Forest maps. Absolute Zero will help you in Expert maps and final slot being a freebie which you can keep Avalanche or get Blizzard for the dodge boost and extra damage each round. In a Blizzard you still get the MDEF boost.

Scythe: Resurrect is a bit of a no brainer and about the only thing it can do better than Brawny, it's utility is that you can Martyrdom to kill annoying level bosses, resurrect with 1 hp then auto heal for the next fight. It's speed is faster than Brawny's but not so fast as to really outspeed anything. Flesh out your skills with a 90 and a 120 power move and Sand Storm.

Re: Recommended moves for epics

Ty_Furry,

For your Felicity, I recommend going with the talent magic force III instead of own tempo. The reason is because magic force helps powers up every attack versus own tempo that only helps one attack.

As far as attacks I would recommend any of the following: mindbending, underworld leech, fire bomb, or chill. If you had to pick an attack to upgrade first, go with psychic thrust. It could turn your Felicity into a one-hit monster.

Or you can go with MF-2 to boost its magic dmg. Hypno jinx 2 is like 2-side coins... If fails, it totally ruin your battle specially in Ladder or Fortunate Race) The only time I found it helpful is to capture monster especially epic...
