Haha yes near death it activates. Lets set the scene shall we.....
Smiter has selected solar smite in the sun. Purrfection then crits smiter, he falls to 20 HP, and solar smite hits. 120 batter x 2(overgrow) = 240 x 1.5(weather) = 360 x 1.5(STAB) = 540 batter power<- that's a lot
The same purrfection then fights a vertedeath. Purr is asleep vertedeath uses dream thief 90 x 2(elemental advantage) = 180 x 1.5 (STAB) = 270 x 2(critical hit) = 540<-? 540 where have we seen that? Oh yea smiter!
Now granted verte has very high matk so his hit could do more damage, both would one shot the poor little cat.
