Double stuns wearing off early

Here was the scenario in a ladder match, I had my rhor vs draco, ohko him with a super thunderstorm (without rain) so I was stunned 1 turn, his next monster was a scythe and used boulder on me while I was stunned for that turn, but I survived with very low health but the boulder also applied stun onto me (there was two copies of 1 turn stun) but then both disappeared and I was able to attack the next turn as normal. What should have happened is that one stun effect was old (from super thunderstorm) and one was new (boulder) so I should have been stunned for 2 turns.

Sidenote, super thunderstorm stunned me because my pegway earlier refuses to use rain prayer and instead wants to use water bombs 4x in a row :?

I've seen this happen a few times. I've reported it to support twice and I was reassured they were already reviewing it.
This glitch makes it impossible to be stunned while stunned. Or get stunned 2 turns in a row.

This is, as AgentZero said, because you can't recieve the same debuff twice.
Same goes for Sleep and Freeze.
Finally back on track and ready to help you guys :D!

Ok makes sense.

Whereas a 3-turn sleep can get over-written by a 1-turn sleep if you used hypnosis again, stun is weird because you do receive both debuffs side-by-side but it treats them as the same one and removes both at the end of the turn. It should be still a bug because the system needs to differentiate between an old, expiring debuff and a fresh one. In a 2v2 fight, if 2 rock monsters used boulder on the same monster and both applied stun, then sure it shouldn't stack into 2 turns of stun or something, and one should override the other and both drop off, but a stun from the previous turn should be flagged as so, and the debuff can reapply.
