Re: Shrieks Accelerator!?!
HM really needs to release something about the accuracy of the moves. I find it annoying how many time my attacks miss even with (supposedly) 90% and 95% accuracies.
and today is a gift."

And Shriek beating three S grade Lupas? That depends on luck, it can't tank that many spirit channels without fortitude, but if it get lucky shadow swipe procs it'll eventually be able to kill Lupas with a single

It's not black and white, it's not yes and no. It's unclear... That's the whole point of the thread.
Before we discredit anything I'm saying we need some more info. We need a statement from a moderator. No one can say either way at this point.
I have ran experiments and different tests, that's more than just an opinion. That's something substantial to base a hypothesis on. But it's not enough.
I want a clearer understanding of the mechanics of hit and dodge, because it's seems that there's more than just a chance algorithm at work here.
Yes, each skill has a percent to hit but that is obviously not the only factor impacting the entire system.

Hmm. I thought the point of this thread was that accelerator gave out too much speed. And I thought you were sure that speed does affect hit percentage. I also had dismissed that thread because one random guy posting that speed affects hit ratio in some way was no way near reliable information to me.
To be honest, I was under the impression that some guy had enough presented reliable information to say that speed was, in some way, influencing hit percentage or dodge rate. I thought you read that information, and became genuinely convinced that that information was true, and came here to say that Shriek gained too much speed bonus from its talent and since it doesn't just affect who gets to hit go first in a turn, to tone down the speed bonus. However, this isn't the case at all and now I am genuinely confused. So you are saying that speed may affect hit and dodge rate and you are trying to figure out, for sure, that it does?

I had a few run ins which proved it.
But I guess we have to wait for something that shows how the accuracy is calculated.
It is crazy how many times I miss with an attack that has 90% accuracy. If that's the case, it should miss only about 10% of the time but for me it's about 60-40.
Anyway, let's just wait for the new update!
