Switching Mobs in Ladder

Did a challenge on ladder and my 1st monster had an advantage over his 1st monster which had Fortitude. After going at it for a couple of rounds his monster switch out. The new monster had an advantage over my monster, which had no issue killing my current monster. My 2nd monster killed his current one with ease but his 1st switch back which had advantage over my 2nd monster and still had PP left to take me out. I thought mob with an advantage and disadvantage keep fighting till they are killed or out of PP inorder for it to switch to a new monster in ladder. Can someone please confirm how this work. Thx

Re: Switching Mobs in Ladder

The situation was fine and handled as how the AI should've handled it.
Here's what happened:
---
Your monster (advantage)
His/her monster (disadvantage)

After a couple of rounds, his/her monster ran out of attacking moves, and switched out of battle for a monster that has the elemental advantage.

That monster killed your monster, and your second-in-line monster got sent out, what usually happens.

Because the killed monster was switched (#2,3 or 4 in rank), the first in rank will be sent out upon death, meaning Monster 1 (which had Fortitude) will be sent back out.

---
The fact that your opponent had Fortitude-II has nothing to do with the decisions the AI makes.

Hope this clears things up, if not, feel free to ask away :)!

Re: Switching Mobs in Ladder

The 1st monster was sent back and still had PP to kill my 2 monster. I am aware that if the monster has no more pp it gets replace. Not this case. Wormbobby line up is Shpierx(fort), Behe(res), Cerb(res) & Planto(fort). My line up was Levi(thera), Peg(eye), Set(inv), Baha(fall). I tried 8x testing the monster switch and it does it everytime...my line up cannot beat his...I have not change the my line up...

Ah sorry, I overread that...
Do you recall what the moves were he had left? I'm fairly sure it'll switch out when the leftover attacks are non-STAB.

Re: Switching Mobs in Ladder

In that case... I have no clue why it switched out ...

Fortitude-II Sphierx should not switch against a Water Therapy-II Leviathan... I am legitimately stumbled :|...

The only other reason I can think of why it'd be executing a switch would be when SFB is the only skill left in rain weather, causing it to process switch prior to a debuff, but I can't confirm wether that's a valid procedure or not; and it seems sketchy in the first place.

Sorry I can't be of any further help.

Same here...cannot figure it out IA would do something like that in Ladder. With the line up I got it can beat the best and it took me 9x to beat him.

mino switched out bcoz he ran out of Mb, i wondered it for a moment
till i discovered that the other skill of mino is iajutsu ( the rest are supplementary) which cant hit ghOst type.. ur case maybe same with that
