Tips for dd expert please

Anyone got any tips for dd expert, I'm struggling on only dd 2

My line up is Levi, Setanic, patta. I can then pick Pegasus or fenrir for my 4 the slot. Pegasus is weak without magic storm and fenrir is weak with sun weather on

Sun weather is fixed on level 2 dd and no fire monsters allowed

So, any tips for this level dd and those after it? Am I missing something?

Curse and soak on Levi make sure you have that will take you far in DD.

I find it strange that you say peg is weak.

I put soak on peg with mind bending +2 and it lets me get pretty far on levels without item.

6 mind bendings then I can swap him for something else.

I think soak is the way to go for all of your monsters

If you use 6 Mind-Bendings, that means you use two Skillslots for Mind-Bending. You also have Soak, so that leaves you with 1 more skill, not the best build I think

I meant 5 mind bendings

then i use psychic thrust then just swap because I run out of soak.

I'm not in dd yet but seeing how pegasus is so much stronger than any of my monster, it surprises me that people say pegasus isn't good for maps.

I know peg isn't super good for fixed-weather maps, but I think it's still useful enough to be a top 4 monster if you teach peg soak.

It can tank decent and its damage isn't too bad. not the greatest, but the stats are pretty "ok." Soak can make you last at least 6 turns and take out a monster or two.

of course, if you have other OELs then problem solved, but they're pretty expensive, aren't they

and you can always just go YOLO and use psychic thrust, and cross your fingers.

dooboosoda, my Pegasus has Psychic Thrust+6, and it usually doesn't even deal 50% of the opponents total HP . Pegasus is decent, but free Legendaries are in my opinion far better for Expert maps.

Does levi get stronger? Right now at level 50 with stat bet of about 30~40, he's decent, but not the greatest.

Leviathan isn't stronger per se, but it can tank a lot better, and thus have a way better damage output. In Ocean Abyss Expert, my Leviathan never died because of damage, but because I ran out of PP .

Pega has really good stats but won't be all that good for expert modes. The way I see it you have two options to beat expert maps either 1. Try and power your way through with brute force so you will need high atk monsters with bets etc or 2. Use a array of moves that will fix hurt your opponent for example a malicious fearivy is a monster a lot of people use. As you can poison then just wait and use photo. You can base your team around moves like this for example a curse soak Levi or lethal powder planto. That's how a lot of people do expert maps. A pod 3xsoak thorn 2 Levi will be able to kill almost everything by just using soak. Personally I powered my way through but the 2nd option is far more effective in my opinion.
