Purrfection yoga question

Right now my purrfection has mind bending with magic force II. As it's skill set. Would putting yoga on and using physical skills yield more damage?
Re: Purrfection yoga question
Seeing how I've never heard of the term Yoga in Haypi Monsters before, I'm assuming you're talking about The Lost Tower.
If that's the case, I'd like to redirect you to the Forum for The Lost Tower
Good luck!

Re: Purrfection yoga question
Fair enough. I figured id just ask here because this games been out spot longer with more knowledgeable people. Yoga doubles physical damage spells. So if I put massive boulder on purrfection it would do double. But was wonder what the % decrease is for using a skill that's not the element of the monster. And what the increase for magic force II is.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: Purrfection yoga question
Aaah, that makes sense
!
If, and I repeat, if rules are and the algorithm is the same for The Lost Towers, Yoga would be effective as long as your ATK is at least 50% of your MATK.
Using a skill that doesn't match the monsters' element doesn't decrease its strength, it's the other way around. Using a skill that matches your monsters' element gives you a +50% damage boost, which is called STAB (STAB = Same Type Attack Bonus).
So lets say a Level. 60 Purrfection with 197 MATK and 161 ATK would have both Mind-Bending and Massive Boulder, both unupgraded.
Mind-Bending would have a total power of 135, as it is 90 * 1.5 for the STAB.
Massive Boulder would have 120 Power, as it does not get any boosts from elements.
Yoga on the other hand, would give Massive Boulder a total Power of
120 * 1.5 = 180 Power.
So you now have a Purrfection with :
161 ATK
197 MATK
135 Power Mind-Bending
180 Power Massive Boulder
Seeing how :
197 - 161 * 100% = 22,3%.
161
There's an (M)ATK difference of 22,3%, which is clearly within the 50% boost Yoga gives you, so judging from these sole numbers, Massive Boulder seems to be the better option. There are, however, a few matters to keep in mind.
Massive Boulder does lower your Defense, making you an easier target, especially since Purrfections DEF is already low. On the other hand, it can stun your opponents, practically doubling the power of the skill with the cost of 1 PP.
Mind-Bending has a chance to hit twice as well, not only raising its power by 100%, but it also has double the chance of landing a critical hit.
The skill Massive Boulder has 3 PP, whereas Mind-Bending has 5, if your Purrfection is built to last, I'd say Mind-Bending is the way to go.
Last but not least, they are different elements, and still act like that. If your Server has a lot of Fire and Lightning monsters, I'd say Massive Boulder would be the better option, as it'll drastically increase the utility of the skill.
Keep in mind, this is for Haypi Monsters and I am not a The Lost Tower player!
Hope this helps you out, feel free to have any questions you have, I'd be happy to help you with your problems

Re: Purrfection yoga question
That's pretty much what I was looking for. Thanks! I was going to make the purrfection more of a utility / clean up monster. Putting a few elements that could have an advantage over other monsters. Like Massive Boulder / Fire Bomb / Poison Leaves. So depending on which monster it fights itll be able to have an advantage.
Re: Purrfection yoga question
If that's the case, I'd definitely try to cover up as many elements as possible, exactly like you're doing!
I'd love to help you with Skills, but I don't really know anything about the skills, nor the AI in The Lost Tower

Re: Purrfection yoga question
All the attack skills are the same between the two games. Just some of the supplementary are different
Re: Purrfection yoga question
Im assuming for the AI if it had an elemental advantage it would use that skill
Re: Purrfection yoga question
And those are exactly the ones that could be most useful!
I find Supplementary skills heavily underrated. Skills like Curse, that take away 50% of your own Max HP, but gives the opponent a debuff of -25% Max HP/turn is what helps most people pass the last few levels!
A skill like Wind Blast, which swaps our your opponents monster for a random monster on his team, can easily throw your opponent off balance, leading you to a victory!
[EDIT] If the AI acts the same, it would indeed use the elemental advantage to its advantage rather than use the STAB bonus.

Re: Purrfection yoga question
Because right now how my team is setup the purrfection isn't really needed to be a psychic monster, because I have felicity using psychic thrust. Also use Neon and Brawny, so purrfection is needed to kill monsters that might have an advantage over the ones I am using. The Lost Tower is heavy with Water (Oogway) Lightning (Neon, Rhor) and Earth (Scythe). Plant is non- exsistent yet and only a few people use Ice( Clawpard) and Fire(Blaze) still.
