Current meta

So I just came back from a long long break and I would like to catch up . I am wondering what OELs I should get and what a top ranking team would be like in the current meta! Thanks for any help. I would really like to know about current popular teams tho

First of all, welcome back to Haypi !

About your question, it really depends on your Server.
If your Server is populated by a lot of Water and Lightning monsters, counter it with Lightning & Earth; if it's populated by a lot of Plant + Fire combo's, use Ice and Water. Simply build your team up like that.

A thing to notice is that as of V1.5, you get bonuses for not having more than 1 of the same type of monster in your team.
The rule is :
2 Different monsters = DEF Boost
3 Different monsters = ATK Boost
4 Different monsters = Speed Boost

About a top ranked team, hard to tell.
You can be #1 by getting Epics all stat betted to the max and all skills to +6, but I believe most Servers tend to have atleast Leviathan + Gryphion in their team.

Thanks for the info! Isn't chimera and hydra better than? I didn't know about the boost thing that's cool:) so it hasn't changed much I guess. Heard Pegasus and the plant OEL is very strong is that true?

Depends on the line-up you'll be facing really.
In some cases, probably even most, Hydra + Chimera might be better, but I've noticed that, since most people tend to get Weather Talent on their OELs, it doesn't matter that much. Also, I prefer Minotaur over Hydra, solely because Sandstorm increases your dodge ratio, whereas Rain does not.

Every OEL is strong in its own way, the Plant OEL, Behemoth (not to confuse with the Ghost OEL Bahamut) has extremely high ATK, but its DEF barely hits 100 at Level. 60.
Don't ask me about Pegasus, I'm heavily against it and I doubt it'll take long before they will receive a nerf.

Hydra over mino any day hydra is one of my favourite OEL. Behemoth is pretty crap if you ask me I wouldn't waste your money on it. I'm in the same boat as keonaj on the Pegasus front it defiantly needs to be nerfed. I would recommend using a ice monster somewhere in your team they fare well against the new OEL. Avoid rock if there's lots of the new OEL on your server.

Like I said, every OEL has its advantages and disadvantages.
For completing Expert modes, Minotaur is a beast, as Sandstorm not only increases your dodge ratio, but it also (usually) damages your opponent.
I can see why you'd prefer Hydra though, it's more of a safe option, as it's better balanced. High HP, DEF and MDEF, whereas Minotaur can easily be 2-hit by a MATK-based monster.

What is the new OEL? Earth and electric doesn't combo well do they? Right now I am thinking of fenrir hydra team but what are the better talents now? Used to be underdog but I heard it got nerfed. Is bahamut worth it then?

Honestly. Don't get OELs.
Haypi is a waste of money, look around, the Forum is dead.
Where would you buy OELs for? PvP? No one does that anymore. Ladder is based on luck, and out of the 3 people per Server that play, I doubt it's worth it to spend over $1000 for a good team.
The maps can be completed even without OELs, and with all the betting and skill upgrading, free Legendaries can be just as strong.

I can't decide for you wether you like the game or not, I'm just saying that, in my opinion, getting an entire team of OELs would be a waste for a game that's probably never getting another update.
