Move named cunning

So a mini boss Meniss used cunning on my clawpard and my clawpard has inverse. So right as Meniss used cunning to drop my defense, I noticed my clawpard used inverse and it increased its magical defense because of the decrease.

Anyways, my point I'm trying to make is the book on cunning says drop defense and nothing about magical defense. So is that a typo? Because I'm assuming since Meniss is Magic power it should decrease magical defense with cunning. The book should say significantly drop magical defense and not significantly drop defense.

The reason why I posted it here is to see what you guys think before posting in bug section. Thanks.

Re: Move named cunning

I think Cunning decreases the overall Defense, so both DEF and MDEF.
This is only a speculation though.
Finally back on track and ready to help you guys :D!

I don't know to be honest :?.
Judging from a coding point of view, it'd be the last in the script, which is obviously MDEF.
However, if there's some reason behind it, it might be because Meniss has a higher MDEF than DEF, or that it's just abandoned, and turned out to increase the MDEF.

So I'm still lost does cunning decrease DEF, MDEF or both?

I'd say MDEF only, but I'd have to see if Inverse can have accumulated effects.
