Scythe build choice

Hey,

Im looking for help and opinions on how to perfect my scythe build.
Im currently at huge dilema because i want to insert POD into my scythe build but i dont know what skill to replace.

My current skills:

Martyrdom
Boulder
Massive Boulder
Earthquake

I want to get pod in, but i dont know what to replace.
Bear in mind ,i use my scythe alot in 2v2/1v1 PvP.

What would u have replaced and why?

I keep EQ because it allows me to by pass taunt pewgways/chimera/neon/rhor combos.

Re: Scythe build choice

Massive Boulder, since you don't have Sandstorm.

Talent: Ressurect
Item: Winged Boots/Iron Shield
Skills: Martyrdom, Boulder, Power of Darkness, Earthquake
Finally back on track and ready to help you guys :D!

Re: Scythe build choice

If your scythe have resurrect talent i suggest to remove earthquake. Massive boulder is very useful in the ladder with or without sandstorm. Martyrdom is the best skill for 2v2 if your opponent got pewgway(taunt foresight combo) so you will not need that eartquake much. Just saying! Anyway, goodluck!!!

Re: Scythe build choice

I have a ressurrect scythe with pod, earthquake, martyrdom, and massive boulder. I'd say the same as nellx05 and takeout earthquake. The only time I use earthquake is team mode and when I run out of massive boulder.

Re: Scythe build choice

I suggest leaving your Scythe exactly the way it is. That way I still beat you most of the time in Ladder and you can still take me out in PvP.

Re: Scythe build choice

Actually, you should do what feels right for you.
The builds should differ per Server, if yours is overrun by Taunt Pewg combo's, you might want to keep Earthquake, but if it isn't, it's quite useless.
Same goes for Massive Boulder, it's only useful without Sandstorm if you're able to 1hit your opponent, so if your Server has a lot of Electrical monsters, keep that.
I'd suggest to make your build via these rules.

Re: Scythe build choice

Yeah well, im currently torn between replacing EQ or Massive boulder.

If replacing massive boulder, i would need to invest lots in boulder upgrades to catch up on the dmg.

Its an extremyl difficult decision for me, as im either going to lose the 1-shot power in non-taunt combos, or lose the only counter to taunt-combo-electricity.
since i dont want to go 100% jihad scythe to counter pewgway taunt forsight combos.

I honestly never had such a huge dilemma in my haypi monster career that i actually cant choose.

Re: Scythe build choice

Sacrificing MB for damage makes no sense, since you're replacing it with PoD.
Only thing you're risking is using 1 turn for buffing, but if you survive long enough, it'll pay off.
Seeing how MB decreases your DEF, and PoD increases it, you'll stay alive longer, and thus, be able to deal more damage.

PoD Boulder > Clean Massive Boulder
