Punishment

I would love for support to give us an accurate description of how this skill works. It's ridiculously inconsistent. Pod seems to count as 1 buff even though it boosts 5 stats which is stupid. Here's a comparison: my meniss ohko a neon after 4 accelerator activations. He then did about 10-20 damage to a pod smiter who was also paralyzed. Smiter and neon have comparable mdef and both had 4 more buffs than debuffs, so why does neon get ohko and smiter gets such minimal damage?
Re: Punishment
Hi,
It's stated on the description that the calculation based on opponent stat changes and its not based on any debuff(par, psn, stn, frzn, burn, etc). However, paralyzed debuff does decrease the monster speed by half.
On neon case, accelerator increase it 4 times. Therefore punishment power increase 4 times.
On smiter case, paralyzed didn't increase punishment power at all. It even decrease punishment power by a lot due to the halved speed change.
I'm not sure about pod effect wether 1 time or 5 times. But even if it is 5 times, the increment is still less than the speed decreased which is half of it.
So it is logical.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Cheers

Re: Punishment
I'm not sure how much speed is lower each time for skill like rock sling, may be 25% ?
But paralyze debuff lower speed by 75% according to Haypi introduction page

You said it's based on stat changes and pod gives you 5 stat changes, not 5 that's only 1. So it's logical that it should be an increase of 5x. That means that even with a speed debuff from paralysis it should still be 4x (it doesn't matter HOW MUCH it decreases speed, it's still just 1), so it should do the same damage as the neon took.

Re: Punishment
Oh,
I meant the power increase also depends on how many points changes of the stat as well. I believe increament from pod for each stat will not be so much. Maybe, around 10 points each stat?
But on the other hand, paralyze decrease speed by half. Given smiter speed stat, half of it should be at least 60 points (lvl60 grade s).
What do you think on this?

Oh so it's 75%
I thought its only half of the speed. >_<
This is what exactly I'm talking about, the speed decrease is very significant for paralyzed.

Dotaplayer, don't mind lord,
I understand what you meant, and it's probably how it works, but none of us know for sure.
I'm guessing English is t your first language, dotaplayer?
