Mother of Guides

Table of Contents

[HM000]

To navigate through this guide with much more comfort, I added a search system, which works by doing the following:

- Highlight the "Section Code" of the section which you wish to go and copy it (CTRL+C).

- Press CTRL+F to bring up the search sub-menu.

- Paste (CTRL+V) the "Section Code" and press ENTER. This will locate you to that certain section. This makes searching much more easier and faster. This guide is getting quite large, and it'll save scrolling through the entire guide :)!

Prologue

[HM100]

Hi there, I'm bored once again, and decided to write this Guide for the newer players. If this guide receives enough positive feedback, I'll continue to expand it :)!
This guide will mostly function as a guideline, from Jungle-1 up to Deadly Desert-15, but I've also included answers for your everyday questions and problems!

Apology beforehand

[HM101]

Before we start the Guide, I'd like to apologize for the fact that this Guide is spread out over a couple of posts. I have found out it is simply impossible to write more than 60.000 characters in a single post, so I'm forced to continue on the next post.
I have also lost my HDD which contained every picture in this Guide, meaning any broken images will sadly not be replaced.
Well then, without further delay, lets start, shall we?

Intro

[HM200]

When you first start your account, you will have the option to add a PAL Code, you can ignore this unless someone recommended this game to you. If that's the case, add the code you got from your friend (I assume) and continue. If this is not the case, simply skip this button.
You'll now follow a small intruduction to the game, how the world got created bla bla bla, the common jibber jabbing.
Simply follow the step-by-step tutorial which speaks for itself, and come back & read on when you're able to move around freely.
First of all, it'll be useless to try and rush through the game, a lot of people compare this game to Pokémon, but it isn't, keep that in mind! You simply can't complete all the levels in a few weeks, this game requires patience, a lot of it!

By the time the in-game tutorial is over, you'll have 3 monsters, Draco, Bud and Twiggy. Since you only have 2 Monster Slots, you'll have to make a decision which ones to use.
A pretty basic rule in Haypi Monsters is: ''The higher the tier, the better the monster.''.
The monster tiers are: Common/Uncommon/Rare/Epic/Legendary.
Draco is Epic, so I would switch him in for sure, get used to him, because you'll be using him a lot!
Then you'll have to pick either Bud or Twiggy. Either are pretty useless when you get further, but seeing how Bud is Common, and Twiggy is Rare, go for Twiggy for now.

Maps

[HM300]

Image

Jungle

[HM301]

Required Monster Count : 0
Continue your journey through Jungle, all the way till Jungle-5. Upon completing Jungle-5, you will receive a Poe, this is a quite valuable monster, so I don't recommend playing around with it (yet)! After this, you will be introduced to Team Modes tutorial.
Team Mode Rewards Jungle :
3613 Monster EXP
450 Player EXP
350 Silver

Team Mode is a place where you can opt to gang up with another person in a single map, and get better EXP, Silver and prizes.
Team Mode has a cooldown of two hours, and can accumulate up to 5 times.
Follow this small tutorial, and afterwards, you'll probably be around Level. 9 already, congratulations!

Image

Miracle Sea

[HM302]

Required Monster Count : 0
By finishing Jungle-5, you also unlocked the next area, Miracle Sea.
Miracle Sea mainly uses Water monsters, so you guessed it, switch Draco for Twiggy, and continue your conquest!
It's wise to level up your Twiggy to 18, so that it evolves into Branchy, and will annihilate everything :D!
You might notice that you encounter a lot of new monsters in Miracle Sea. It is wise to catch as many as possible, if not all!
I suggest switching your Draco for a Katch, because your next area will be Fire, so you might want to train him a bit!
You shouldn't have any problems with Miracle Sea, but stay alert! It will get harder soon!
Team Mode Rewards Miracle Sea :
5085 Monster EXP
1000 Player EXP
750 Silver

Image

Volcano

[HM303]

Required Monster Count : 7
I recommend leveling your Katch up to 16 before entering the Volcano Area. Not only will he evolve into Ripper, but he will also learn a new, stronger attack, Erupting Spring.
I suggest using Ripper and Branchy for Volcano, Ripper will take care of most of the battles, and you'll be able to level up Branchy for your next area! This will give you the advantage of having not one, but two monsters with an elemental advantage in your next area!
Not much more to tell about Volcano, try to catch as many monsters as possible, as you need a certain amount of monsters to actually unlock the next Areas!
You will unlock the Veteran Mode of the maps upon completing Volcano-10, which is basically a harder variant of the original map.
I wouldn't bother with them too much in the beginning, feel free to play around with them though, they can hand out some nice rewards :)!
Team Mode Rewards Volcano :
7430 Monster EXP
2400 Player EXP
1500 Silver

If you're still not fed up of this game, good job! I've seen that this is the point where most people either lose interests, or become addicted, so if you're still playing, welcome to Haypi !
Your next destination will be Stone Vault. This is where it'll start to get harder, and more interesting!
Depending on how fast you got to this point, your Player Level should be around 11 to 13, and your monsters will most ideally be around Level. 22. Don't worry if this is a bit lower, but you might want to consider waiting a few turns, and use your Training and Team Modes instead.

Image

Stone Vault

[HM304]

Required Monster Count : 12
Stone Vault will be the places where you'll encounter your first struggles. Maps start to get longer, you'll stop killing your enemies in 1 hit, and you might even die a few times!
Do not be conserned though, because after Stone Vault-10, you'll be given an extra monster slot! That's right, you'll be able to use an additional monster in your team!
Same as Volcano, not really much more to tell you about Stone Vault, try to catch as many monsters as possible, and just work your way through.
After passing the Area, you'll be given the extra monster slot, together with your first Expert Skill, Fire Blast!
I'll leave it up to you whether you'll use it or not, I'd definitely put it on your Draco, as it will help you out in the further area's a bunch!
Team Mode Rewards Stone Vault :
12.594 Monster EXP
4200 Player EXP
3000 Silver

Image

Canyon

[HM305]

Required Monster Count : 20
We've now arrived at Canyon!
Canyon was the first real place where I started to get stuck, I simply could not beat that higher leveled boss!
As I said earlier, and I can't repeat this enough: There's no need to rush this game, if you feel like waiting a few days & train your team, that's completely fine!
You should be around Player Level. 15 and Monster Level. 30 now by now.
Canyon is the breeding place of annoying Luminous'. Electric, bee-like monsters that tend to spam Confusion where possible.
I remember I passed this by using my Draco and two monsters I caught in Stone Vault, Armordillo and Igneous.
But as I said before, with all that Confusion spamming, it sorta depends on luck whether you win or not. Don't be afraid to start over a few times, rushing won't get you far, as you'll only get stuck later on!
I think that I, myself, have been stuck at Canyon for around two weeks, this, ofcourse, is a while ago, so the game got easier now. I hope you don't face the same problem :D!
Not much new to catch at Canyon, you will mostly encounter evolutions of previously catchable monsters.
I think that's about it for Canyon, just get some rabbit charm, and hope for the best :).
Upon completing Canyon, you receive the Skillbook Poison Leaves via a quest.
Team Mode Rewards Canyon :
14.822 Monster EXP
6500 Player EXP
5500 Silver

Image

Sealed Space

[HM306]

Required Monster Count : 30
Next up is Sealed Space! This has been the hardest area for a long time, with a lot of Psychic and Ghost elemental monsters.
The maps start to get really long at Sealed Space, so buckle your seatbelts, because a map won't take 2 to 3 minutes anymore!
My suggestion for Sealed Space is to train atleast one Psychic and one Ghost monster, as they have the elemental advantage against each other.
I think I've been stuck at Sealed Space for the longest time out of all Areas. The amount of Spirit Channels that were thrown at me was outrageous...
So yea, all I can give you for this area is to make sure your team is ready. Make sure it's leveled high enough, preferably around 35~40.
A tip I can give you is to make sure Draconius is in your team. Almost all of the upcoming maps can be solo'd by a decent Fire monster.
Team Mode Rewards Sealed Space :
23.874 Monster EXP
7000 Player EXP
6000 Silver

Image

Frozen Cavern

[HM307]

Required Monster Count : 65
Congratulations on reaching Frozen Cavern. If you came this far it means you've been playing this game for quite a while now!
If you followed my advice, and kept Draconius in your team, rest assured, Frozen Cavern won't be very hard!
The monsters in Frozen Cavern are leveled from 32 in the first map to 42 in the last map, so a level 40 Draconius will practically do the entire job if you do it correctly :D!
All Frozen Cavern maps have a chance of getting the weathers Blizzard and Sun. Ofcourse, we don't want to fight in a blizzard, we'd rather have sun, so our fire attacks get stronger!
Here's a little tip, keep restarting the map until you end up with sunny weather, it will help out big time!
I think that's about it for Frozen Cavern, just make sure you keep that sunny weather up, as it will save you a nice amount of potions, which can be helpful for our next destination, Chaotic Swamp!
Team Mode Rewards Frozen Cavern :
26.889 Monster EXP
8000 Player EXP
7000 Silver

Image

Chaotic Swamp

[HM308]

Required Monster Count : 75
Welcome to the Chaotic Swamps, where every kind or weather is possible and nearly any Uncommon monster can be encountered. Yes, it truly is a chaos!
From here on, the maps are true mazes, and you could find yourself really struggling to stay alive! The monsters are ranged from Level. 38 to Level. 50.
As I said a few lines back, every weather is possible, so use this to your advantage! If your line-up has 1 Electric and two Water, you won't want to fight with Sandstorm.
I recommend you to keep Draconius, or maybe you have another Fire monster in your team by now, in your team. Holy Ruins will be a breeze if you have a Fire monster in the high 40's :)!
That's all I can think of right now, just make sure you keep the weather element on your side!
Team Mode Rewards Chaotic Swamp :
30.949 Monster EXP
10.000 Player EXP
8500 Silver

Image

Holy Ruins

[HM309]

Required Monster Count : 90
We've now arrived at Holy Ruins, I personally find this my favorite World, as it's extremely easy if you have a Fire monster, and the rewards upon completing a Map contain an EXP Card-5! Talk about killing two birds with one stone!
The monsters in Holy Ruins are Leveled from Level. 44 to Level. 52, so a Level. 47 Draconius, or whatever you're using as Fire monster, will be able to take out pretty much anything without any real trouble :)! You should make sure you have an Earth typed monster in your team, as it will be of use in the next World.
Yea... I think that will be around it for Holy Ruins, I myself honestly haven't had any troubles whatsoever.I cleared all of Holy Ruins with a Level. 50 C Draco using Fire Blast. Jumped in with a secondary monster every now and then, but it was hardly necessary.
Team Mode Rewards Holy Ruins :
34.245 Monster EXP
12.000 Player EXP
10.000 Silver

Image

Barren Lands

[HM310]

Required Monster Count : 10
We're here! The oh-so-feared Barren Lands!
Just kidding, Normal Mode isn't that special, it's the Expert Mode of Barren Land that you used to see all the questions about. It is the first Expert Mode where you'll start facing paid Legendaries as bosses!
Anyhow, onwards with the walkthrough! The monsters in Barren Land are leveled from 48 to 58!
There are quite a few of elements in the World, so I'll give you a vague idea of what monsters to use.
The main element in Barren Land 1 to 6 is Fire & Electric, so start those with an Earth typed monster. After that, switch between Fire and Electric until approximately stage 12. Last, but certainly not least, use a Water typed monster! Water will be a necessity at Barren Land-15, as the last boss is a Minotaur that uses Massive Boulder +6!!
Team Mode Rewards Barren Lands :
36.249 Monster EXP
14.500 Player EXP
12.000 Silver

Image

Thorny Forest

[HM311]

Required Monster Count : 105
Thorny Forest is one of the newest maps in Haypi Monsters, it got added in V1.5 and holds house to mainly Plant and Fire monsters. You'll see an Earth typed every now and then, but they're not too common. The weather is Sun in every map, which can be used to your advantage by using a Fire elemented monster.
The monsters range from Level. 51 to 60.
Team Mode Rewards Thorny Forest :
? Monster EXP
? Player EXP
? Silver

Image

Ocean Abyss

[HM312]

Required Monster Count : 110
As you might have guessed, most monsters here are Water elemented. However, you will also see quite a few Electric and Ice monsters, and possibly even a few Earth monsters; how they survive underwater remains a mystery!
The weather is always Rain, a team of Electric & Water will make this quite an easy area!
The monsters are ranged from Level. 53 to 62.
Team Mode Rewards Ocean Abyss :
? Monster EXP
20.000 Player EXP
18.000 Silver

Image

Deadly Desert

[HM313]

Required Monster Count : 115
Currently being the last map of the game, Deadly Desert holds house to mostly Earth and Fire monsters ranged from Level. 55 to 65! The weather variates a lot between Sun and Sandstorm. There are 8 Dual Duel maps, so make sure to have a good dual team ready! Other than that, Deadly Desert shouldn't be much of a problem. One or two water monsters would probably whipe the entire desert !
Team Mode Rewards Deadly Desert :
78.532 Monster EXP
23.500 Player EXP
22.000 Silver

Talents

[HM600]

Haypi Monsters has a lot of Talents, 135 Talents to be exact!
Some of these Talents are obvious, but others can be quite confusing. That where this list comes in handy, here you'll find a list for a description of every Talent, as well as which monster can learn it!

Please note: I won't name the tier of the Talent (Common to Epic) because some monsters might have it on a different tier. (e.g; a Clawpard might have Magic Force-II as Epic talent whereas a Fenrir would have it as Rare talent).

Name : Accelerator
Description : Gives your monster a Speed boost each turn. Usually 2 to 3 turns is enough to ensure that your monster will attack first.
Learnable by : Echo, Shriek, Stinger, Neo, Neon

Name : Adaptability
Description : When your monster uses a skill that is the same element as the monster itself, the skill will deal more damage. This damage is quite significant and most people try to get this talent when possible.
Learnable by : Draco, Draconio, Draconius, Seafoam, Cygness, Neo, Neon

Name : Adrenaline
Description : The ATK of your monster increases every time you kill an opponent. This talent is useless in the beginning, but extremely strong after you've made 2/3 kills.
Learnable by : Thor, Rhor, Cerberus, Chimera

Name : Aim
Description : Your monster's hit raiting increases at the start of the match. Does not activate when you switch your monster in and out of the battle repeatedly.
Learnable by : Pinchey, Stabbey, Chimp, Champ, Thor, Rhor

Name : Antidote
Description : Immune to poison. Nothing more said really. Helpful when trying to clear maps that have a lot of plant monsters... I guess.
Learnable by : Maize, Kernel, Leshy

Name : Antifreeze
Description : Immune to freezing. Like above, quite ''helpful''.
Learnable by : Yaki, Yeti, Trunky, Chunky, Crystal

Name : Apathetic
Description : Immune to seduction. Seeing how Seduction isn't used by the AI, this Talent is, just as the two named above, quite useless.
Learnable by : Jack, Smack, Paranormal, Parasitic, Pinchey, Stabbey, Splashy, Shadow

Name : Armor-I
Description : Increases your monster's DEF by a bit, but decreases its ATK. Kinda a swap, useful when you're either tanking or using magical attacks. It does not stack.
Learnable by : Chowda, Shelly, Tresha

Name : Armor-II
Description : Increases your monster's DEF by a decent amount, but also decreasing its ATK by a decent amount. Like above, kinda a swap, but it's usually worth it as you'll be able to land an extra hit due to the fact that you last longer in battles. It does not stack.
Learnable by : Grubby, Mantis, Scythe

Name : Armor-III
Description : You guessed it, increases your monster's DEF by a lot, but also decreases its ATK by a lot. Judging from my own experience, that ''ATK decrease'' is a nice story, but I don't see any significant difference. So it's basically a nice DEF boost. It does not stack.
Learnable by : Boopie, Boomer, Brawny

Name : ATK Boost
Description : Raises your monster's ATK every time it is switched into battle.
Learnable by : Phoenix

Name : Blaze-I
Description : When your monster's health is below 30%, your fire skills deal a bit more damage.

Name : Desert Power-MATK

Learnable by : Jack, Smack, Paranormal, Parasitic, Cursie, Mantis, Scythe, Boomie, Booma

Tips

[HM800]

Currencies

[HM801]

There are several currencies in Haypi Monsters.

Image
Silver:
First of all you have the actual money, Silver. This will be used in most of the cases. Training, Synthesizing and upgrading skills are just a few examples of things that can be bought with Silver.
The easiest way to obtain Silver would be via Team Modes; Deadly Desert Team Mode to be exact. It gives you approximately 18.000 Silver when Quickstarting, and 21.600 Silver when running with someone else!
Given that you can Team Mode 12 times a day if you keep your cooldown time low, that's an easy 250.000 Silver/day!

A bit more extreme way of obtaining Silver would be going into 2v2 PvP mode with someone else. It is suggested to both have a low score when doing this, so the opponents (bots) are the easiest.
Each win will give you an approximate 200 Silver (may depend on the players' level), so 5 wins is 1000 Silver. This doesn't seem like much, but it accumulates fast! Oh, and you're also racking up Honor, which can be used to buy Gold Keys to open Gold Chests, which often contain 20.000 Silver!
Another extreme example is to do your Trainings in the form of 10 Minute trainings. I don't recommend this method unless you have a timer, else you'll lose out on the Silver/EXP ratio.

The best ways to spend your money would depend on how far you are in the game and what your goals are, a few examples are :

Breeding - This is pretty much a place where you'll spend Silver your entire Haypi career, whether you breed an E Rank (5K Silver) or an A rank (58K Silver), you'll always need a bit of spare Silver in order to keep your Hatchery from being idle!

Plain Eggs - I don't suggest to buy Plain Eggs if you're aiming for a single specific monster, but only when there are a minimal of 5 monsters left, else the chances are too slim! If you don't care about your Collection and/or Leviathan, don't bother buying Plain Eggs, as you would rather spend your Silver elsewere!

Skill upgrading - Upgrading skills is by far the most expensive Silver feature in Haypi at this moment. Upgrading a skill from +0 to +6 costs a stunning 2.500.000 Silver per Skill! Most higher leveled players tend to save their Silver for this purpose.

Buying Encyclopedia Monsters - Quite an underestimated expense in my opinion. Monsters such as Felicity, Skelly and the Dragons (Leshy, Roco, Lava, etc) all cost 500.000 Silver when you want to buy them! This can quickly acummulate to a few millions! You would get these monsters in order to increase your Monster Collection, and get Leviathan.

Image
Gold Coins:
Gold Coins are valuable, and should not be spent on the small things, unless you're planning to buy more coins later on.
Gold Coins can be used to speed up cooldowns, unlock extra bag slots buy monsters in the Encyclopedia or to buy Magic Eggs.
There are several ways to get Gold Coins for free.
You can get two a day from Daily Rewards, one coming from the Online Rewards, other from the Daily Training.
This might not look much to all of you, but for a non-paying person, even 1 Gold Coin is helpful!

Image
Prestige:
Prestige can be gained from the Ladder Tournament, and can be used to unlock certain monsters in the Encyclopedia. Same as the PvP Gold Coins, the higher your rank, the more Prestige you get. This can get up 1000 Prestige a day for being in the top 10 and even 2000 for being #1!

The list of monsters you have to unlock with Prestige is :

Funkis - 3000 Prestige
Poe - 12.000 Prestige
Purity - 36.000 Prestige
Leshy - 75.000 Prestige
Roco - 112.500 Prestige
Lava - 150.000 Prestige
Plantosaurus - 300.000 Prestige

Image
Honor:
Honor can be obtained via PvP, and can, as well as Prestige, be used in the Encyclopedia to unlock certain monsters.
You can, however, also use Honor in the Shop tab to buy Equipables, Chests, Keys, Book Chests Dice and Love Potions.

Elements

[HM802]

Haypi Monster holds house to many different monsters. Naturally, there are different elements as well, I will list all elements down here:

Image
Plant
The first enemies you'll encounter are Plant based, since Jungle is obviously the place where plant monsters dwell!

Image
Water
Also encountered in the beginning of the game, Water monsters have a chance to heal themselves after attacking!

Image
Fire
Which game doesn't hold house to a Fire monster? It's also the first element you'll ever encounter, since your Draco is Fire based!

Image
Earth
Earth monsters are usually slow and have a lot of HP & Defense. This can make them quite annoying to deal with.

Image
Electric
Zeus' favorite monsters! The Electric monsters are usually fast and have high attack, they have a low Defense though, so they shouldn't be too hard to kill!

Image
Psychic
One of the lesser used elements in the game, there aren't a lot of Psychic monsters, but with their supportive skills like Confuse and Hypnotize, they can pack quite a punch!

Image
Ghost
Haunting in Sealed Space, these monsters are unaffected by any Physical attack, so watch your step!

Image
Physic
The most basic element in the game. It has no strengths, and no real weaknesses. Watch out for ghosts though, you won't be able to hit them with a Physical skill!

Image
Ice
The young brother of all elements. It got added only a few months ago and turns out to be quite strong!
Watch out for their attacks, as they might freeze you, ouch!

Elemental Advantages & Disadvantages

[HM803]

As you might have learned from the Tutorial already, there are a lot of elements in the game that have advantages over each other.
Here's a list that might help you planning your next step:

Plant is strong versus Water and Earth, weak versus Fire and Ice.

Water is strong versus Earth and Fire, weak versus Electric and Plant.

Fire is strong versus Plant and Ice, weak versus Water and Earth.

Earth is strong versus Fire and Electric, weak versus Water and Plant.

Electric is strong versus Water, weak versus Earth.

Ice is strong versus Plant, weak versus Fire.

Physical has no elemental advantages, but it cannot hit Ghost elemented monsters!

Psychic is strong versus Ghost, weak versus Ghost.

Ghost cannot be affected by Physical skills, is strong versus Psychic, weak versus Psychic.

Tiles

[HM804]

It's very helpful what the different tiles are ment for, so that, if you're planning on using a dice, won't land on a debuff while there's a buff tile 2 tiles behind that.
The tiles are:
Image
Battle Stone
The most common Tile, this will result in a regular battle where you can catch monsters.

Image
Mini Boss Stone
A Tile mostly found in Veteran and Expert maps, if you come across this Tile, you'll have to fight no matter what your dice roll was. You can not catch monsters in this battle. If a Ressurection Card is used, you will be sent 1 tile back and you'll have to redo the battle.

Image
Boss Stone
The last Tile you will land on, if you defeat the monsters on this Tile, the map is completed and you win. If a Ressurection Card is used, you will be sent 1 tile back and you'll have to redo the battle.

Image
Health Tree
This Tile heals a percentage of all your monsters.

Image
Cursed Tree
This Tile takes away a percentage of health on all your monsters.

Image
Teleport Portal
This Tile sends you to a set location on the map, it is impossible to tell what Tile you will be sent to, unless you've played the map before.

Image
Angel Rock
This Tile gives you a random stat increase. This includes +Speed, +Attack and +Defense. The effect stays for 5 turns.

Image
Devil Rock
This Tile gives you a random stat decrease. This includes -Speed, -Attack and -Defense. The effect stays for 5 turns.

Image
Angel Statue
This Tile gives you double EXP. The effect stays for 5 turns.

Image
Devil Statue
This Tile halves your EXP. The effect stays for 5 turns.

Image
Sack of Gold
This Tile gives you double money from battles and chests. The effect stays for 5 turns.

Image
Silver Chest
This Tile gives you a small amount of Silver.

Image
Gold Chest
This Tile has a common chance of giving you Silver and Potions; a rare chance of receiving Keys.

Image
Ruby Chest
This Tile gives you a larger chance of getting Keys, also rewards more Silver than a Gold Chest.

Image
50% Shop
This Tile has a certain amount of items that are available in the Shop for half the money. Once left, it cannot be re-entered.

Image
Green Cave
This Tile sends you to battle with a monster that cannot be caught on a regular tile. This is a Cheeky or Tresha most of the time. There is always only 1 monster in a Cave. The monster has an avarage catch rate.

Image
Purple Cave
This Tile sends you to battle against an Epic Monster! There is only one monster in the Cave, and it has a 1% catch rate above 50% health. 2% catch rate below 50% health.

Poe

[HM805]

As I've said earlier in this guide, Poe is an extremely valuable monster, because it can be evolved into any element.
Image
If you're planning to go for the Collection Rankings, go to the ''My Info'' tab at the bottom right and see what element you need the most.
All of the elements reward Synthesis Scrolls when reaching a certain number, so it would be a waste to evolve the Poe into a Vegetaboe (plant) if you already have enough Plant monsters for the Lambush Scroll!
This may be a lot of puzzling in the beginning, but it will surely pay off in the long run!

Training

[HM806]

The Training tab is extremely useful, you can give a monster of your choice a certain amount of EXP.
When you've trained your monster, you don't actually leave your monster behind to ''train'', meaning you can still use it in combat. A lot of new players seem to be confused with this.
If you're not planning to buy Gold Coins, I would suggest not to spend any Gold Coins on training, as they can be used in more useable places such as Orange Eggs, buying encyclopedia monsters and finishing cooldowns.

Hatchery

[HM807]

The Hatchery is unlocked at Level. 15 and is used to breed monsters to get a higher rank.
The ranks vary from E- to S. S is significantly stronger than E-, but it's not a great problem when you're new to this game. You can pass all the Normal maps without S monsters, but I won't give you much chance in Ladder or PvP without any ;).
You can opt to use Blessing, which can be gained from Sacrificing monsters, during breeding. This will increase your bred monsters rank more than it would without Blessing. Your rank will likely increase from E to D- without Blessing, with Blessing, it will go up to D or D+.

Team Mode

[HM808]

Team Modes are a great way to get both Silver and EXP for both monster & player.
There is a cooldown of 2 hours, and it can accumulate up to 5 times.
Team Modes can reward you with several scrolls for Rare monsters, or even a catalyst for Poe.
If you team up with other players, you can receive even more Silver and EXP.

Activities

[HM809]

The Activity tab holds two Activities, the Ladder Tournament and Boss Raids.
The Ladder Tournament is a place where players fight each other in an automated battle, you can not control your monster in the battle. You can win up to 2000 Prestige pre day.

Boss Raid can be unlocked at Level. 12.
After that, you will be able to randomly encounted Boss Fights when playing any non-Team Mode map. This bossfight has a few basic rules:

-The fight is automated
-You will always go first
-You cannot critical hit the boss
-You will always use your strongest attack that hits first. This excludes skills like Cunning.
-The boss always kills you in 1 hit
-You cannot use skills that kill the monster in a single blow. This includes Execution and Absolute Zero

After encountering the boss in the map, you will be able to find it at the Boss Raid tab. There is a 24 hour limit to kill him, and a cooldown of two hours. This means you have 12 tries to kill the Boss.
You might have trouble killing this boss on your own, so if you added a PAL in the beginning of the game, he/she will be able to fight the boss with you, increasing your chances significantly.
You can get a maximum of 3 Boss Essences from your own boss. One being from the fact that it's your boss, one for dealing the most damage and one for having the last hit.
Boss Essences can be spend in the same tab, press on the Gift icon and you'll be sent to the Exchange shop. Here you can exchange your Boss Essences for chests, keys, Dice or even a Legendary scroll!

Skill Upgrading

[HM810]

As you might have noticed, most of the skills have the option to ''upgrade'' them. I'll explain most of it, keep in mind that there are few exceptions.

First of all, you can check if your skill is upgradeable by going to the monster and pressing on the skill. You'll get to the information tab, if there's an ''Upgrade'' button at the bottom left, it is upgradeable (obviously).
However, there are a few restrictions to this upgrading.
You can only upgrade skills when your monster is Level. 50 or higher.
Upgrading skills costs Silver and Essence of Wisdom, the price varies per upgrade.

The highest level an Attacking Skills can be upgraded to is +6, this requires your monster to be Level. 60.

The required Monster level in order to upgrade the skill is :

+1 = Level. 50 + 20 Essence of Wisdom + 100.000 Silver
+2 = Level. 52 + 40 Essence of Wisdom + 200.000 Silver
+3 = Level. 54 + 60 Essence of Wisdom + 300.000 Silver
+4 = Level. 56 + 80 Essence of Wisdom + 400.000 Silver
+5 = Level. 58 + 100 Essence of Wisdom + 500.000 Silver
+6 = Level. 60 + 200 Essence of Wisdom + 1.000.000 Silver

Supplementary Skills follow a different rule. Most, if not all, of them can only be upgraded once :

+1 = Level. 50 + 200 Essence of Wisdom + 500.000 Silver

Bet System

[HM811]

In V1.5, the Bet System got introduced. It's a new way of upgrading skills for both the free & paying users.
There are three currencies you can bet with; Silver (5000), Essence of Life (5) and Gold Coins (10).

By betting, you randomly increase and/or decrease all stats at once. You can opt to disban a bet, meaning the given increase/decrease will not count. Note that your currency will still be consumed.
In the beginning, the chances of decreasing your stats are next to impossible, so basically, your monster can only get better!
However, once you reach ± +10 on a stat, the bets start to have more variety. You'll start to see a lot of negative stats.

The goal of betting is to upgrade your stats as high as possible, the higher your betted stats are, the lower the chance you'll get a good outcome. You could say it grows exponentially more difficult to obtain good stats.

There are a few guidelines regarding to the betting system.
First of all, Stat Betting is unlocked once the monster reaches Level. 30.
Secondly, the limit of a stat is 60, meaning that, once your stat reached +60, it will no longer be able to increase, it can, however, still decrease!
Also, the max number a bet can have is equal to the level of your monster. If, for instance, your monster is level 32, the max +stat it can have will be +32.

One thing to notice it that the ATK and MATK will always upgrade with the same stat, idem dito with the DEF and MDEF.
As expected, Silver has the smallest chance of giving good outcomes, followed by Essence of Life and Gold Coins have a great chance of giving a good stat outcome.

Player v/s Player [PVP]

[HM813]

PVP is the place where, you guessed it, you can fight other people in your Server.
There are 3 different categories, 1V1, 2V2 and Dual Duel. I will explain them shortly.

1V1 means you will fight your opponent one on one, you are able to change monsters during the battle. You can use up to 4 monsters in this mode.

2V2 means you will team up with a friend to fight two other people. You can use up to 2 monsters in this mode.
At this current moment, 2v2 does not reward Score, only Silver, Honor and possibly EXP-Cards.
This was added in order to prevent people boosting their own scores up.

Dual Duel means you will use two of your own monsters at the same time, it's the same as 2V2, but you don't need someone to team up with. You can use up to 4 monsters in this mode.

You start of with 1500 score, and this will increase/decrease with a certain amount of point, depending on your opponents score. It will be 13 Score most of the time though.
If you're located in a low-populated Server, don't worry! Up to 2000 score, you'll be able to encounter bots. These bots will be around 80 score higher than your own score, and will obviously increase in difficulty.
However, after 2000, you can no longer encounter bots, only real players, this is a real bottleneck for most players, as they are strong enough to beat the computer, but stand no chance against a team of 4 Legendaries.

As of V1.5.0, there's a new rule that withholds people from using the same monsters. The rule is as following :
When you're using two different monsters, you will receive an ATK & MATK boost.
When you're using three different monsters, you will receive an ATK, MATK, DEF and MDEF boost.
When you're using four different monsters, you will receive an ATK, MATK, DEF, MDEF and Speed boost.
This rule was added in order to prevent people from using, lets say, 4 times the same Legendary monster.

Magic Shop

[HM814]

The Magic Shop is the place where you can exchange Essences of Wisdom and Essences of Life for a variety of items.
Essences of Wisdom can be obtained from disenchanting Skill Books or landing at one on the wheel at the end of a map. They are used to buy all available Skill Books, from Beginner Books to Expert Books.
Essences of Life can be obtained from disenchanting Scrolls or landing at one on the wheel at the end of a map. They are used to buy a variety of Synthesis Scrolls, including a Legendary Physical monster!

Frequently Asked Questions

[HM900]

Q) What are the benefits of being a VIP player?
A) VIP Status gives you bonuses in the game. You can check the whole list in the game at Menu → VIP → Details.

Q) How can I get a second Draco?
A) There are currently two ways to get another Draco, one involving Eggs, you can get a random gender from buying eggs, any kind will do. You can also buy it for 800 coins in the Encyclopedia.

Q) I caught a monster that is past its evolution level, can it still evolve?
A) Yes, level does not matter. If it doesn't require an item, simply give it an item or level him once more. If the monster does require an item, simply give it, and he will evolve.

Q) You just said Draco is obtainable via Eggs, before I'm buying any, I'd like a list of monsters that are not obtainable!
A) Most of the monsters are obtainable, there are, as you guessed right, a few exceptions to this. The list is:
-Stinger
-Purity
-Sincerity
-Felicity
-Skelly
-Vertebrex
-Vertedeath
-Escarglow
-Bubbles
-Lambush
-Sally
-Angel
-Crispy
-Shadow
-Grubby
-Blubbie
-Glider
-Pattapilla
-Pattafly
-Sneopard
-Clawpard
-Neo
-Boarbarian
-Faerivy
-Whalorn
-Needles
-Bragga
-Boomie
-Booma
-Gralf
-Bush
-Any Legendary monster

PLEASE NOTE: The only way to get a Legendary monsters via Eggs is to buy Orange Eggs, which can give you the represented Legendary of those 2 weeks.

Q) I only have 3 Monster Slots, how can I get my 4th?
A) You can get your 4th Monster Slot in two ways, either buy VIP 1, or by adding two PALs to the game.

Q) What are those grades next to my monster?
A) Grades indicate the tier of the item, the grades are: E/D/C/B/A/S.
The higher the grade, the higher the stats of the monster will be.
Note: All grades have +/- stats except for S, you don't have S- or S+, only S.

Q) You keep talking about tiers, what exactly are tiers?
A) Tiers indicate a rank or a class. A quote from Wikipedia is:

A ranking is a relationship between a set of items such that, for any two items, the first is either 'ranked higher than', 'ranked lower than' or 'ranked equal to' the second.

The most common tier in this game is the difference in rank, Common to Legendary. Common being a low tier, Legendary being the highest tier.
There are, however, also other rankings, such as grades E- to S.

Q) What are all those different kinds of Honeys?
A) They are the catalysts used to evolve Poe, they all represent their element and will evolve Poe in a different monster.

Q) Could you please explain what exactly those counter-like skills, such as Waterspout, Magic Mirror and Mirror Shield work?
A) All credits go to Ryeballs for this information, but there is indeed a logic behind these skills!

Waterspout :
First of all, Waterspout only works when you're attacking after your opponent.
The damage you receive is the same as you reflect back. So if you get hit and lose 50 HP, you will deal 50 damage in a Water Elemented Counter.
This means both weather and elemental advantage can increase the damage Waterspout deals.

Magic Mirror :
Magic Mirror has to be cast before your opponent attacks.
It will return back twice the damage, so if you got hit and lose 50 HP, you will deal 100 damage back to your opponent.
This skill, as it is a Magic Elemented skill, will have the elemental advantage against Ghost monsters as well, so a 100 HP hit will backfire into a 400 HP hit to your opponent!
This skill will only activate when attacked by a Magical Skill!

Mirror Shield :
Mirror Shield works pretty much the same as Magic Mirror, but it only repels Physical Skills instead of Magical Skills.

Q) Should I buy Eggs with Gold Coins/Silver?
A) Completely up to you, I would not buy Eggs with Silver in the beginning of the game, as they are quite expensive. However, if you're actually buying Gold Coins, it might be worth a shot, you can get a lot of Epics and maybe even a Legendary!

Q) What is the fastest way to earn Silver?
A) The absolute fastest way would be to buy it with Gold Coins, but I don't think anyone actually does that. Instead, doing Team Modes with other people will give you a nice amount of money. See the Currency section for a more detailed guide about Silver.

Q) Help, I ran out of Seal Cards!
A) Seal Cards can be a real problem in the beginning of the game, but once you start to catch less monsters, you'll see that it's actually quite well balanced. You can always opt to go on ''Seal Card farming'', there are some maps with high amount of treasure chests, one of the most popular one being Miracle Sea-3 Normal mode.
If you're a bit further in the game, but still in the need of Seal Cards, you should try Barren Land-5 Normal mode. This map holds house to 5 Ruby Chests and 3 Gold Chests!

Q) Help! I found a Skill Book, but when I click on it, I can't learn it to my monster!
A) You have to learn the skill via the actual monster. Go to your Monsters tab, select the monster you want and click on ''Skill Book''. This will open a list of all Skill Books the monster can learn.
There's also a chance your monster is not the right tier. Advanced Skills can only be used by Epic & Legendary monsters.

Q) Help me! I rolled the dice, and suddently a weird pop-up came into my screen! What do I do next?
A) You're probably talking about this picture:
Image
This means you have found your Raid Boss.
If you click on Fight, you will find yourself in an automated battle, against a boss that is waaaaaay stronger than you are.
After you have fought him, you will have to restart the entire map, unless one of your monsters leveled up in the event and thus regained full health.
If you choose to press Ignore, you can continue the map, and the boss will be transported to the Activity tab

Q) Help! I found a Raid Boss, but I'm only dealing like 20 damage, there's no way I can kill it like this!
A) In the beginning of the game, Raid Bosses can be pretty annoying. You can ask your PAL to help kill it, but that'll only help if you actually have a PAL!
There are, however, a few things you can do to improve your chances of killing it!
First of all, keep in mind that you only have 1 attack per monster, and it has a 100% hit rate, so the smartest choise would be to send out your monsters with the highest attack and best skills. Try not to get any elemental disadvantaged though, as it will slow you down immensely.
You can also try to equip Simple, Normal or Super Healing Potions. I recommend using Simple ones, since they only heal 10HP and are pretty useless in actual combat. Using a potion will give you an extra hit, if you equip all your monsters with them you will basically do double the damage!

Q) How can I see my monsters' grade?
A) You'll first have to unlock it. You can do this by pressing on the monster, press Identify, which costs 100 Silver. The monsters' grade will then appear for all stats!

Q) What is a strong Epic monster?
A) Every monster has its advantages & disadvantages. You'll learn them while you're playing!

Q) Where can I find a Scrap Metal?
A) Scrap Metal can be found on any Veteran and Expert Wheel, there's no decisive location.

Q) When I was on a map, there was an icon on a sun on the top left, what does this mean?
A) That indicates that there's a standard weathertype for the whole map.
The weathers are:

Image Scorching Weather (Sun); Fire and Plant skills deal 50% more damage and they won't receive debuffs from using Super Fire Bomb or Solar Smite. Water and Ice skills will lose 50% of their attack. The Freeze debuffs will thaw after one turn.

Image Rain; Water and Electril skills deal 50% more damage and won't receive debuffs from using Water Torrent or Super Thunderstorm. Fire and Plant skills will lose 50% of their attack. The Burn debuff will disappear after one turn.

Image Sandstorm; All monsters beside Earth and Fire will lose 8% of their health every turn, Water and Electric monsters will lose double, 16% health each turn.
The dodge rate of Earth and Fire monsters will also increase and they won't receive debuffs from using Super Fire Bomb or Massive Boulder.

Image Blizzard; All monsters beside Ice and Water will lose 8% of their health every turn, Fire and Earth will lose double, 16% health each turn.
The dodge rate of Ice and Water monsters will increase and they won't receive debuffs from using Aurora Borealis or Water Torrent.

Image Magic Storm; Every skill used by the monsters on the map will be counted as Magical skills, meaning their damage is based on your MATK.
Furthermore, this weather gives Psychic skills that have a possible 2nd hit a 100% chance of doing two hits. It also removes the buff PoD after every turn.

Image Night; This weather makes the slowest monster attack first, meaning that always-first moves will go last now, and vice versa.
This weather also gives all monsters the Hypnosis debuff; however, they will still be able to function. The use of this is that skills such as Dream Thief can be used at any time when the Weather is casted.

Q) I spent Expert Skill Books on my E graded monster, what should I do?
A) You can't retrieve Skill Books once you used them, the monster will have it, but the Skill Book will be gone forever. If you're new to this game, this is not a disaster, veteran players will try to avoid this though, as it'll be a waste later on.
I recommend to save your Expert Books until you get an S ranked monster!

Q) My monster should have learned a skill, but it didn't! What's going on?
A) It's most likely that you've used a Skill Book on the slot the new-learned skill would go.
Skills that are learned via skill books will always go before self-learned skills, so pay close attention to this!

Q) I've done a PvP/Ladder match, and I noticed the opponents monster sparkeled, what does this mean?
A) This indicates that the monster is S graded, the highest grade a monster can currently get.

Q) When I joined a PvP Room someone else created, nothing happened, so I left, is this normal?
A) It takes time to find your opponent, you don't get connected to one the moment you click on ''START'', so have a little patience!
This can take up to 30 seconds if both of you have a Weekly Score below 2000. Once above 2000 Score, you won't be able to encouter bots in PvP, and you will have to wait until you face a real opponent!

Q) In the chat, I see a lot of people saying ''tm dd'', what does this mean?''
A) This stands for ''Team Mode Deadly Desert'', the last map available. This gives the most EXP, Silver and best rewards.

Q) I see a lot of terms on this forum and in the game, the most common ones would be PoD and OEL, what do they mean?
A) PoD stands for Power of Darkness, which is currently the strongest buff in game. It raises your Attack, Magic Attack, Speed, Defense and Magic Defense.
OEL stands for Orange Egg Legendary, which are the strongest monsters in-game. Opening an Orange Egg costs 49 Gold Coins, so you're taking a big gamble. Some people get a Legendary in 2 or 3 Eggs, while other open over 50 and can't seem to get one!

Q) How do I get this so called ''S ranking''?
A) You can get a higher ranked monster via Breeding, this usually goes up quite slowly, it can be sped up by using Blessing. You have to use Blessing if you want to reach S grade, the highest without Blessing is A+.

Q) I can't upgrade my skill, help!
A) First of all, your monster has to be Level. 50 in order to upgrade your skill. Secondly, not all skills can be upgraded. Skills like Power of Darkness can not be upgraded.

Q) I got absolutely owned in PvP, how can I improve?
A) Most people in the PvP room are quite experienced in the game, and tend to have strong S monsters with good skills and talents.
Keep in mind that your monster will be Level. 60 in PvP, so don't repel because ''your monster isn't high leveled''. Only the Grade, Talent and Skills matter in PvP.

Q) What are those caves in the Veteran/Expert maps?
A) Those caves contain a rare monster, sometimes even an Epic that only has a 1 – 2% catch rate!
The loction of all Caves, with their representive monsters are:

Green Caves :
Volcano Veteran-3 = Cheeky
Volcano Veteran-8 = Cheeky
Volcano Veteran-10 = Cheeky
Stone Vault Veteran-2 = Tresha
Stone Vault Veteran-5 = Tresha
Jungle Expert-5 = Tresha
Miracle Sea Expert-4 = Tresha
Miracle Sea Expert-8 = Tresha
Miracle Sea Expert-10 = Tresha
Volcano Expert-2 = Cheeky
Volcano Expert-4 = Cheeky
Volcano Expert-6 = Tresha or Cheeky
Volcano Expert-8 = Tresha or Cheeky
Volcano Expert-10 = Cheeky

Purple Caves :
Volcano Veteran-7 = Neo
Stone Vault Veteran-7 = Meniss
Canyon Veteran-10 = Cygness
Sealed Space Veteran-6 = Scythe
Stone Vault Expert-3 = Seafoam
Stone Vault Expert-6 = Seafoam
Canyon Expert-2 = Cygness
Canyon Expert-6 = Seafoam
Canyon Expert-13 = Seafoam
Canyon Expert-15 = Seafoam
Sealed Space Expert-4 = Mantis
Sealed Space Expert-8 = Mantis
Sealed Space Expert-11 = Scythe
Sealed Space Expert-15 = Mantis
Thorny Forest Expert-10 = Faerivy
Ocean Abyss Expert-6 = Whalorn
Deadly Desert Expert-10 = Needles

Q) A minute ago, you named a few monsters that are catchable in Veteran and Expert maps, but isn't it impossible to catch monsters in both Veteran and Expert maps?
A) It is indeed true that you can't catch monsters in the regular Veteran and Expert battles. You can, however, catch any monster that is encountered in a cave.

Q) There are quite a lot of Synthesis Scrolls, it's so confusing! Where can I find them all?
A) There's a difference between Rare and Epic grades. The Rare grades come from Team Modes, and the Epics are available Veteran Wheels and Gold/Crystal Chests. Furthermore, there are also a few Legendary Scrolls, but they are not obtained via Team Modes or Veteran modes.

Rares :
Octobud : Jungle Team Mode
Crabby : Miracle Sea Team Mode
Lupa : Volcano Team Mode
Ricky : Stone Vault Team Mode
Chimp : Canyon Team Mode
Echo : Sealed Space Team Mode
Freezy : Frozen Cavern Team Mode

Epics :
Slider : Jungle Veteran Wheel
Oogway : Miracle Sea Veteran Wheel
Flicker : Volcano Veteran Wheel
Boopie : Stone Vault Veteran Wheel
Thor : Canyon Veteran Wheel
Kreepie : Sealed Space Veteran Wheel
Pampurred : Sealed Space Veteran Wheel
Chunky : Frozen Cavern Veteran Wheel
Pattapilla : Holy Ruins Veteran Wheel
Sneopard : Barren Land Veteran Wheel
Flaunt : Any Veteran Wheel

Legendaries :
Gryphion : Exchangable for 200 Boss Essence
Setanic : Rewarded upon completing Barren Land-15 Expert Mode
Leviathan : Rewarded upon collecting 135 different monsters
Hippogon : Buyable for 200 Essence of Life
Sphierx : Rewarded upon completing Ocean Abyss-15 Expert Mode
Plantosaurus : Rewarded upon completing Deadly Desert-15 Expert Mode

Please note: All these Scrolls, beside the Legendary Scrolls, are obtainable via Gold/Crystal Chests, but the chances are very small. I don't recommend to wait for it to happen.

Q) I've heard you can catch a Legendary monster in a map, how can I get it?
A) That Legendary monster is either Angelo or Devil, they are extremely rare to encounter. They can be found on any Normal Mode map, but at an extremely low rate of encountering. I wouldn't advice searching for it, you'll just find it whilst doing maps eventually. The catch rate is ±13%, depending on the HP it has left.

Q) My monster received a debuff! What can I do?
A) There are different types of debuffs, I will explain them all:

ImageConfuse → There's a chance your monster will ignore your order and attack itself, an ally or another opponent.
This debuff lasts 2 to 5 turns or until the monster is switched.

ImageBurn → Decreases your monsters attack and gives it damage over time. The debuff can be removed by Rain weather or certain Skills/Talents specially made for removing all (de)buffs.

ImagePoison → Gives your monster damage over time. The Poison debuff can only be removed by certain Skills/Talents specially made for removing all (de)buffs, such as the Talent Flush and the Skill Cleansing Powder.

Image Lethal Poison → Gives your monster damage over time just like the regular Poison debuff. However, the damage that is dealth each turn is much higher when Lethal Poison is applied. The Lethal Poison debuff can only be removed by certain Skills/Talents specially made for removing all (de)buffs, such as the Talent Flush and the Skill Cleansing Powder.

ImageEnsnare → Gives your monster damage over time and stops you from switching monsters. This debuff lasts for 5 turns.

ImageHypnotize → Causes your monster to fall asleep. This effects lasts for 1 to 3 turns and stays even if the monster is switched.

ImageParalyze → Decreases your monsters speed with 75%. There's a 25% chance your monster won't be able to make a move.
The debuff can only be removed by certain Skills/Talents specially made for removing all (de)buffs, such as the Talent Flush and the Skill Cleansing Powder.

ImageCurse → Reduces your monsters MAX HP with 25% every turn. Curse can only be removed by certain Skills/Talents specially made for removing all (de)buffs, such as the Talent Flush and the Skill Cleansing Powder.

ImageStun → Renders your monster unable to do anything for a single turn.

ImageFreeze → Makes your monster unable to move. This debuff lasts for an indefinite number of turns. The debuff will remain even if the monster is switched out of combat. Debuff will be automatically removed after one turn when the weather is Sun. If no sun is present, the debuff can last 1 turn up to infinite turns.

ImageSeduce → Has a chance of making your monster ignore your move. Lasts until the opponents monster is changed, or you change your own monster.
