Clawpord - MF2 or Frost Aura 3?

Clawford looks pretty decent given its high speed, matk, and decent def & mdef.

I'm thinking MF2 would be a much more useful talent?

I'd say mf2. Frost aura 3 would do serious damage but you'll probably only get 1-2 hits at best with it activating. Mf at least will activate every attack.

Re: Clawpord - MF2 or Frost Aura 3?

I had a lot of trouble getting Frost Aura so I gave up on it and am sticking with MForce II. I can tell you Overgrow III was pretty insane on my Smiter, but more often then not I would die before I got a chance to use it.

Given the speed of Clawpard is pretty medium, it also means you probably won't get first attack each turn to actually take advantage of it.

That said, a PoDed or otherwise speed/MATK boosted Clawpard can probably wipe an entire team once Frost Aura III starts triggering.

That's actually true lol as long as the Clawpard is weakened down that much and is faster than it's opponent then it could kill the whole team no problem! :D

Facts:

1. Clawpard has the same speed as Neon, some may even higher.
2. Clawpard with FA-III alone can wipe out an entire epic team, even Ignightmare included.
3. FA-III is the best talent on him/her, It can kill most monsters within a single hit, including S Bone Dragon.

Mine one has FA-III equipped, my ladder ranking is always in the top tenth, today was 1st :)

FA-III is most definitely stronger, but the debatable part is if it's worth getting to that 30% health. It's very risky.
Finally back on track and ready to help you guys :D!

1. Neon (or Clawpard) is no longer a fast monster last updated dumped like 10 Legendarys with better speed into the game.
2. Ignightmare is a wang, Cerb and Draco are the real threats.
3. Would probably have to agree on this, but Ultimate Rune Gems and breedings are limited.

Re: Clawpord - MF2 or Frost Aura 3?

I have both FA3 and MF2 clawpards.
Just contemplating which way to go.

I've wiped out entire teams with other mobs , but the buffs/timings gotta line up like FA3. It's so situational, but when the timing is right its great. Like when my Griff has 2 stack of adrene and pod up it one shots everything including scythes, but 80% dies before that setup. I'm not really a fan situational and more leading towards consistency.

My only concern is I 1-2 shoot a lot Fen's and don't know how well clawpord will stand up or even get to use FA3. It's it can survive one more hit then griff than I can see it has a decent chance. But if its flakey like griff then most of the time it will die before FA3 is up

Re: Clawpord - MF2 or Frost Aura 3?

Well at 50 it has 125/140 DEF/MDEF which comparing to say a Neon at 120/120 or a Verte 140/140 it sits pretty comfortably in the medium section of survivability. A Fenrir for comparison sits at 115/165 for those stats at 50.

I find my Neon, my all-rounder/PvP & Ladder first monster, does alright surviving anything but a Massive Boulder.

No one leads their team with a Fire monster unless they have a Cerb, so that usually means you can get away with getting a POD up allowing you to take hits in smaller increments while waiting for the sub 30% trigger to happen.

If I were you and had Frost Aura III Id use it as your first monster followed by a Water. Spend first turn PODing, second attacking if less than 45-50% or Blizzarding if more than 50-55% health. Second monster as Water because Scythes are usually early in rotation and if Fire killed your Clawpard, you are strong against it and it will let you burn off the remaining Blizzard rounds.
