Anyone know what a good hippogon build is? Close please

I am hoping to synth a hippogon soon but need help with a good build. I'll likely only ever get the one due to how many high level monsters you need to synth it.

Is anyone able to advise what build would be good for pvp and ladder?

Water torrent
Mind bending
Vengeance

I'm happy to save up and buy other books though

You'll need pod, tech-II and frenzied attack (iajitsu works too), a good elemental move that DOESN'T have drawbacks (poison leaves, fire blast, etc...), and a good healing move would help. The ones you have are either matk, weak, or has drawbacks that will get you killed. Vengeance is the only one that *may* be useful but not by much.

First of all, if you're planning to get only one, I would recommend you to Synthesize with with Pure S only, it'd be a shame to waste 200 Essences of Life on a non-S graded Legendary!
Second of all, there are plenty of topics about Hippogon Builds, there's a search option in the top right of this forum, you might want to look around for your own favorite build!

First of all, if you're planning to get only one, I would recommend you to Synthesize with with Pure S only, it'd be a shame to waste 200 Essences of Life on a non-S graded Legendary!

In my opinion. the best build is tech II frenzied attack(this will take out most enemies in one go if all five hits occur with tech II) water bombs (mainly to take out rock types or if you run out of pp then uit's alright against fire and it's better than poison leaves against rocks as you can get hp)
PoD(make ur hippo a murderer)
Soak or another elemental move. Soak is for normal modes and another elemental move is for ladder and sometimes pvp.
I like soak more as when you are in pve you will die quite often and flight is excellent against anything so if you encounter a rock type, you can wipe it out with w bombs and same with ghosts and you'll get a bonus heal sometimes.
But then again, it's ur choice
