Need PvP advice
I was reminded today by a friend about what PvP was like when I started playing earlier this year. Everyone on my server hated PvP because of one player who would jump anyone who entered the arena reducing the amount of fun everyone had and eventually everyone just avoided the arena all together.
This pattern seems to be starting again, except now it's me jumping anyone who enters the arena reducing everyone's fun. Trying to prevent this from happening is why I've been trying to get cross server PvP so we can stop hitting our new/same players over and over. This repetition will foster anger.
Currently, the PvP rewards seem to reward the greatest those who throw their weight around in he arena. I'm hoping to change this; on our server at least.
I'd like some suggestions from other players on the forum on how to handle this scenario/situation. I'd also like suggestions on how we can make it more fun.
I'll start off with things on my mind right now:
1) Take specific days off from pvping and make sure everyone knows it so those who don't want to be bothered can know they can play in peace.
2) Give points away to players who deserved it that week. Something like 15 free wins to a player who did something nice for another. This would encourage a nice atmosphere and help people get Skelly/splashy.
3) Give up first place and rotate it around to different players. I can't think of a way to make this fair for everyone though. Seems to just play favorites.
