Adaptability boost numbers

TL:DR Adaptability gives approx a 40% damage boost.

Since I couldnt find a topic that displayed exactly how much extra damage Adaptability provided I decided to test myself.

I used a lvl 51 S Adapt Neon with 158 natural MATK and an lvl 50 A- Accel Neon with 149 MATK and a Waistband giving 159 effective MATK.

I used 5 lvl 46 Stabbeys and 5 lvl 46 Lupus' as my test monsters with their life totals adding up to the same amount and performed 1 non-critical Lightning Strike on a fresh monster and recorded the starting health and ending health.

Total damage by Adapt Neon was 828, total damage by Accel Neon was 610.

610*1.4=854 which allows for the 1 extra MATK over 10 attacks and some random variance giving Adaptability the magic number of a 40% damage boost +/- a few percent.

Nice! I would never do math for non school related purposes though.

Awesome!

Mind taking it a step further for Force- 1/2/3 and Sniper?

Re: Adaptability boost numbers

Sorry, I wont be able to check those for you. I already had the Neons with the talents so I was able to test this. Unfortunately I don't have anything with any of the Force talents or Sniper.

Getting the crit boost of sniper would take far more data than this, it would become apparent over hundreds of test attacks, not just tens of them. Also near as I can tell from the Force talents, they boost stats, since we don't have a clear picture of exactly how damage is calculated, it would be impossible to solve for the stat differences they provide.

To get a decent damage calculation model it would require two people using PvP with a bunch of different test scenarios to figure out how ATK/DEF and MATK/MDEF interact as well as STAB, Element advantages and critical damage percentages are factored in.
