Pod on penetrate hippo?

Hi, guys.

In order to combat invalidate neon, is that a good strategy to have pod on penetrate hippo?

I was told before that pod will proc on penetrate monsters

P.s. I'm asking for my good friend Jared. I don't have a hippo.
But it seems to me, he's an enhanced version of flight.

So how s hippo's performance?

Penetrate Hippogon will DEFINTELY work against Invalidate monsters. It will allow Power of Darkness to be casted.
However, he should hold off in using too many premium runes. Hippogon, at the moment, is clearly not the best legendary monster and it's better to use your premium runes on other legendary monsters, in my opinion.
Unless you got Own Tempo or Evade, it's better to stay with what you have now as its talent as Unbending and Tech 2 both have their advantages over Penetrate as well. Besides, unless Invalidate (and similar) monsters are running rampant in the server, you can use another monster to counter these, without compromising your Hippogon.

He bought a lot eggs but didnt get fenrir..so he was quite upset about that.

The hippo currently has unbending, I think that's a good talent against verte.
Especially, now, felicity won't cast psychic thrust and thus cannot one hit verte, they often lose to verte in ladder.

You should have aleast one penetrate mob on your roster whether hippo or verte

Just slapped pod and laj on my 50 hippo today then I saw 1.4 notes and think I should have held off

I will wait until after the new version comes out before changing my talent from Hypnosis Jynx to Penetrate, on one of my Vertedeaths. There might be things in there that will be game changers! Also, the new legendary monster might completely wipe the 'Fenrir is too overpowered' discussion.

Why would you say this? Are you thinking that the new talents/skills might be used by Hippogon?

Because a new list of physical skill coming out. So might new monsters.

I could of saved my wisdom for new skills.

I got two penetrate verte, but he doesn't really like the idea.

I think it would be better to make verte has penetrate, because he has so many and easy to breed,

Hippo is one and only, and he used his fighting flight to make hippo..
S there goes the only unbending mob for him..

He probably should keep the unbending hippo
