I say Rock coz when I stared my account I'm stuck longer in canyon maps for normal and team modes. Till I got my rock type to 40level and user level to 19 thats the only stage get out of there. But your suggestion is good too I never thought of ghost I'm always thinking of elemetal advantage/disadvantage in that maps.

Hi WhiteBeard_390!

This is debatable at the moment.
I don't have a list of all the monsters that are not available to be gifted as I only know that Felicity and Skelly (and their evolutions) are not available.

If legendary monsters are available, these are the most precious. Epic monsters will follow, etc.
If legendary monsters are not allowed, I would suggest a monster like Neon or Scythe. The reason being is because you need to catch them in the caves. However, the eggs are making it easier to get these but you have to fork out the cash. If you can gift a Draco, then, this might also be good if you plan on breeding him since you can only get a second one from 800 gold coins or the eggs.
I will edit this post or create a new reply if I get a list so I can give you a better answer.

Good luck for now!

Re: What is the best PAL monster to have.

Send over a high level (40+) A rank Lupa or any other rare with a modified move set. Train it until it almost levels up before sending it. When you send it to the pal account, it will revert to whatever their trainer level is. However, it will still have that much extra exp from before. So just win a battle, get some exp and watch the monster go from ~level 5 to level 30+. I did this with my level 40 Lupa which only had 15,000 exp on it before sending, after I did a battle it went from level 10 to level 24.

The moveset the monster has when you send it over is the same even when it's level is reverted.
