I have always been confused by people with such beliefs. How would Ed go about getting his nutrients then? Even the smallest single cell creatures try and avoid predatory beings. Carrying his logic to the end leaves him with nothing to eat, since it is cruel, nothing to drink, since purifying water kills billions of eukaryotes. No way to move, since the environment is filled with microscopic life. Can you imagine the audacity of taking a shower and destroying the habitat of the poor little bacterium living on his skin?!

First world problems I suppose. Being so secure in life to worry about the happiness of things that are going to be eaten.

Is it fair that the dogs are eaten? How would the chinese people feel if the dogs ate them huh?
