Chumps - evolution and PvP stats

When you take an unevolved monster to PvP, what stats does it get?

We can't see the exact level-50 stats, but I devised a rough test.

Chimp has some of the most extreme stats in the game. It gains 4.0 HP points per level, but only 0.33 Speed points.

There is also a notable difference between Chimp and Champ. Chimp gains 2.0 stat points / level in MDef, but Champ only gets about 1.5. In fact, when I evolved a Chimp into Champ, its MDef went down from 40 to 35!

So I had this wild idea. I'd send an unevolved Chimp into PvP, and it should get an awesome MDef by level 50, right? (Calculated MDef=106; maybe not that awesome, but at least substantial.) I also took a Champ for comparison. I was lucky enough to meet a Lupa and to give them both a turn against the same opponent.

The result was, that Lupa did roughly the same damage to both Chimp and Champ. The system seemed to treat that level-50 Chimp just like it had already evolved.

I don't know if this is a special case, or if it always holds. And it does raise some extra questions. What about epic monsters that require an item to evolve? Would a Slider do the same damage as Smiter, if it was given the same skills?

I honestly can't properly test this.

However, I do think that I've noticed a significant enough differences when I used my Slider and Smiter, particularly for defences. But, as I said, I haven't properly tested this.

Maybe we need more tests before we can come up with a conclusion.
