Need advice on flight build

Hello guys,

I currently have a flight with POD, fire blast, poison leaves and boulder. Talent is unbending. Initially i was building it to be an elemental counter but it is not working so well since weather monsters can more or less 1-2 hits ko it. I just got a Iaijutsu off a chest and was considering changing the build of my flight. Do you guys think it's wise to change my flight build to something like POD, poison leaves, Iaijutsu and soak? Just thought that it will last longer in PVP/PVE this way and Iaijutsu will probably do more damage with POD on since it's his native skill. Any comments appreciated!

Take away boulder/fire blast and change to laijutsu for this case
fire>ice/grass
Boulder>Fire/Lightningt
Grass>Rock/Water

Since you're using laijutsu, you should remove boulder/ fireblast which is ineffective towards rock/water that has a high physical def

In other words using laijutsu against rock/water type isn't that 'painful'

poison leave will be useful to fight rock/water
i suggest taking out fire blast, as people normally uses lightning and fire type, boulder is better than fire blast

I do agree that you need to rebuild your Flight, but you must consider the monsters being used in your server if you aim to get higher ranking on both PvP and Ladder, most people nowadays go w/ Rhor & Neon w/ Cygness as Rain Prayer support due to the huge benefits on weather effects another pair is Ignightmare & Smiter for the same reasons..

Better to do some recon before you finalize on your elemental skill, though what @pocket said that Poison Leaves will be beneficial due to the high DEF of Water/Rock monsters. Just keep in mind that as of the moment, Earth is the only element unaffected during Rain Prayer & Celestial Prayer that is effective against two of the mostly used element-type in-game..

Thanks for the insight guys! Those are really helpful comments. I'll probably choose to have poison leaves and boulder along with Iaijutsu. Question is, should I teach my flight soak too? Then my final skill set will be something like : POD, poison leaves/boulder, Iaijutsu, Soak. Not sure if soak is really useful since they dont really use it on ladder anymore.

If you are going to have just one Flight for both PvP and Ladder, have Soak.. Remember you still have other 3 monsters to use don't rely on Flight alone

My Flight Build is:

Iaijutsu, PoD, Photosynthesis and Poison Leaves

This has proven to be a formidable opponent to everyone in my server.
I highly suggest this build.

I used to have Fire Blast and other 90 power moves instead of Poison Leaves but the problem was the PP. The 5 extra that Poison Leaves has is extremely handy. Also, as one of the posters said, Rock and Water monsters tend to be bulkier (more defence).
Also, I think the Poison debuff it may provide has a better activation percentage than the other elemental moves, from my personal experience.

I think Frenzied Attack, POD, Poison Leaves, Photosynth/Soak will be the best skillset for flight.

A 5-attack Frenzied Attack is better than Iaijutsu.
However, Iaijutsu is much, much more reliable.
5 x 28 = 140 Power for a 5-attack Frenzied Attack
2 x 58 = 116 Power for a Iaijutsu

Since Frenzied Attack, on average, will hit 3-times (since it's 1-5 hits), it will hit less than Iaijutsu.
Iaijutsu is much, much more reliable as it usually does its full number of hits compared to Frenzied Attack.
I have a Tech 2 Flight with Frenzied and sure it is extremely, extremely powerful but Iaijutsu is just so reliable compared to it that I switched.

Can i know where you guys got the frienzy attack and lajutsu skill book before?
so that i can camp in those stages and try my luck there!
