How does this talent work?

If your monster is not allowed to deal damage that your skill is supposed to (normally), e.g. Ambush against an Evade-using Flight, then, Penetrate will activate and Evade won't work.

I feel penetrate is a lame talent,....targeting a very small and specific group of mobs

@pizymisa - Maybe because there aren't a lot of strong defense talents except for x-barrier and evade.

Disappointing. I thought it cut through def from pod

im pretty sure it does. Havent testet myself though

I have it on one of my flights and it works on monsters with resurrect - its happened a few times now where a scythe, pewg or blocky cant resurrect haha they just die. Apart from that I find it a fairly useless skill but don't want my flights to all have same talents (got a tech 2, unbending and penetrate)

Penetrate cuts through unbending & pod ~ great for cunning to flights.

So penetrate deactivates cunnings def reducing ?

Or does it mean even if the opponent has unbending, and your monster has cunning and penetrate, the skill will work as expected?
