Re: Dear experts, need help on SS veteran!! Please!

It's all up to you how you pass it. My recommendations though?

1. Monsters 38 [minimum] and over.
2. Bring a lupa or shriek with you. [Lupa would be better. It's faster]. *I've passed without lupa or shriek.
3. Buy some potions from the discount shop in game.
4. Equip some jellies and potions.
5. Save those res cards! Use them after you've gotten past the first two mini bosses or so. [If there's 7 slots to the next boss and you've only got one monster left, just roll and die. Don't use dice. If you roll, battle, die and use res card, it's likely the next dice roll could land you to the boss. Unless you rolled a 1. Maybe you would want dice then. But dice is good for ss team mode!]
6. VIP 1. That extra slot is a miracle.
7. Breed those babies! [A high rank is a miracle too].
8. Get some better skills. Some naturally learned skills just stink to high heaven. [As in, they suck and you should get rid of them and replace with something better. But make sure you don't replace skills in slots that may have good things coming up!]
9. At the boss, try to have near perfect health and pp.

Optional: Debuffs. But they've worked wonders for me since I've found them.

Burn: Does slight damage, but cuts opponents monsters damage in half or so.
Poison: just does a lot of damage
Paralysis: May stop them from attacking you, makes the monster slower than a champ.

I'm frustrated though, I need a female echo in order to breed.
But couldn't get it in two tries,, now out of money.
So I'm training my grade D echo, while saving up money for synthesis.

Also, a lot money went into making my grade S slider..

Your welcome. Hope it helps! With the future patch, it'll be a lot more interesting. I wonder if our opponents will have such advantages unlocked too? Who knows!

Better do some team mode. Maybe sell scrolls you don't need anymore [once you have a pair and breed a bit, leftover scrolls can be sold.]

Don't worry. Your frustration is shared by many. Try synthesizing using female monsters only. Supposedly, it helps [for me, I guess it did.]

I only used the basic crusty, draconius, blocky, branchy.

A few things are my draconius has hot smoke [third slot where wildfire should have been] and I have firestorm on the fourth slot over molten core [because I hate molten core on ladder]. If you do get hot smoke... don't place it over wildfire! :| lol. I didn't know about it until it was too late. I also equip the claw and defense helm based on what monsters are in the game.

Ex. If there is bloom, I place the claw on draconius and the helms on branchy and a random. [Attack on the one that has most damage so I can 1 hit KO and defense on the monster of the same element to last longer in game, and the rest is.. well, it's just fodder for me. xD]

Also, my blocky has fissure over rock armor. I have these because if my monster is at a disadvantage and is likely to die within two turns, I'd want to continue giving damage even after death. While avalanche would probably do 10 damage at one given point against the gnasher, fissure would do more than 10 over a few turns. And if it's a debuff like burn which decreases opponent damage/gives damage or poison which does a lot more damage, even better!

Otherwise, all my monsters have all of the naturally learned skills.

Have you seen my excel sheet? Draconius is complete in the Natural Learning tab.

Draconius: Smack____Burn________Blinding Smoke ____Anger
_______(Nothing)____Pyroblast____Wildfire __________ Molten Core

* The top row is what they learn in the beginning. Underneath is what they're replaced with eventually. Smack does not get replaced.
