Battle of the water types

So a lot of people ask which is the best of each type and lately ive been thnking about water types. I love my crusty personally but each has advantages. gnasher has high speed and seems to heal more than the others from move like sewage and erupting spring, pewgway has epic amounts of health, crusty is more balanced but has great defense, and shelly just kinda sucks anything I missed? im actually kinda curious if im right with this or if ive been using the wrong one

I haven't faced a Pegway only bluegway and I have to say I am not a fan. I faced a level 33 Bluegway with my level 33 Draconius. My dragon doesn't have any special moves to be more effective--he was pyroblasting and Bluegway was erupting springs/sewage I can't remember. Bluegway was in red health when my dragon died. (This was in ladder, first monster for both sides)

Gnasher seems to have a better attack than crusty but Crusty's defense seems a lot better. I use Crusty and love him, but depending on play style I think Gnasher stands a chance.

Shelly used to seem really good to me (I was considering breeding him to replace my crusty when my monsters were around level 23-25). He seemed like he had a really strong attack...Now I wouldn't touch him. I don't know if that's just because I haven't faced somebody with a higher level shelly or what the deal is but I know I wouldn't touch ihm.

I can usually beat gnashers 1v1 with crusty (heck I can beat any water monster with him) as long as they don't have whirlpool. that move devastates....I want it

If have to say pegway! Has crazy defence and also heals
Way too much! I played one in 2v2 and it was called out first
We wiped both one players monsters then had 3 monsters left
To attack pewgway and couldn't even get him into red
We had to draconious and a swiper atacking

Crusty are defdinetly annoying to fight but I'd say
Pewgway for sure!

Why are you comparing a Legendary to Rare? The stats on Legendary will always be better. The only difference to account would be if the other player was Breeding their Rare and had an A/S class monster

I was looking at a level 15 ricky's stats compared to a level 15 boopie (both rock types and they both have three evolves). They are the same grade and Ricky's stats are actually higher. So unless boopie gains more through evolution than Ricky (which is possible) the Ricky will turn out to have higher stats.

the legendary will always be better? the heck are you talking about? id rather have blocky than behemoth, crusty than pewgway, and branchy that smiter (though that one was closer). the only legendary ones id even consider using is vertedeath, meniss, felicity, and ignitmare if I ever needed another fire type. oh and rhor, he seems pretty god. the rest are terrible.

I wonder if the stats on the epic monsters increase more than they do on the rare ones. Because I agree the stats are higher on crusty, branchy, and blocky it seems.

the epics usually have better health and attack but not defense. id rather take more damage so I can do more than take less and do maybe a little more

Get A or S class Epic and compare them to Rare. There is 5-10 stat differences not to mention the HP difference
