move abilities

so electric moves paralyze, water moves heal, psychic can hit twice, fire buns, grass poisons, rock can knock the enemy out, but what does ghost and normal types do? near as I can tell ghost types all lower mdef buts if that's all they do then that's pretty lame. and normal types don't seem to have any abilities but they do seem to have higher power attacks. anyone have anything im missing?

Ghost lowering mdef is great because it means your next attacks will do a lot more damage :) normal I doubt it cuz normal type is normal, doesn't do much

thanks to willie I found out about a water move called whirlpool. it lowes mdef as well and darn near beat my crusty. id rather have that than a ghost type move. having said that I do see where it comes in handy but the monsters themselves just aren't impressive enough for me

Have you not seen vertebrex???? O_o thing looks like a beast.

Poison paw, normal type can poison opponents. Just remembered that.

lupa looks cool too. he sucks a lot. id rather have my draconius with a psychic and ghost type move

Ran into a lvl 39 lupa today in ladder. Wrecked 3 1/2 of my team completely, almost lost the match. Luckily I had my Draconius last.

I think any monster lvl 39 can dominate at this point though. I know if my Draconius (37) leads and I run up against a lvl 33ish water type I can usually still win the 1v1 in ladder

Normal types can learn almost all move types thus they can do whatever you want (poison, burn, heal, etc.)

I was talking about normal type moves... Unless those can burn/heal/poison etc, all I've seen is a poison normal type move)

Ooooh no in that case I've never seen a normal type have any "lasting" effect.

I think ghost's "ability" is just buffs and debuffs for itself. There's a move for it that allows it to get rid of any and all debuffs currently on it and increase its mdef while at it [mind wipe or some sort]. Normal can learn other types skills, and is strong as is, although it'd be slightly weaker elementally on a physical than on a monster of the similar element. Otherwise, thanks for the list of stuff each element does! Think I can do a lightning paralysis/confusion with burn or poison? Attack yourself while being burned and unable to attack me x) lol.
