Breeding

Breeding costs a lot of money. What are the pro's and cons of breeding?
Thanks

Re: Breeding

Pros: you get better grade monsters, which will give you better stats as you level them up later.

Cons: you have to spend a lot of money for each one, and they get more expensive to breed as they get into B or A ranks, plus you have to use love potions too. You have to level the baby monsters up to level 15 before they can breed again and sometimes you'll get stuck with 5 males to one female and your 1 female is an E grade so you aren't making any progress in getting better grade monsters and its costing you more money.

While it looks like there's a lot of cons, I still think breeding can be a very good thing, even if you only do it a few times. I wouldn't recommend breeding a level 30+ monster to try and get a better grade (my Blocky is level 33 and rank E+ but I'm not going to breed it) because it isn't worth it for the few extra points it would give me in stats compared to how much exp I would need to regain. However right now I'm breeding a Mythik for sealed space, and so far I've got a B- grade one, which will be nice when its an A or so and I fully raise it to a powerhouse monster.

Probably made some mistakes in spelling/grammar cuz I'm sick and its 12:20 AM so please forgive me

Re: Breeding

I agree with Nick. At this point, early in the game, the breeding isn't going to make a huge difference. You can find screenshots of different grade, same monster, same levels and see the changes are fairly minute. However, if there is a certain monster you like (because of its type or its looks or whatever) and want it to be a long term member of your team but not something you need right away, get to breeding it. When you get it up to S class then you can train it and make a powerhouse. I am doing similar to Nick. I am breeding a Mischief (because I love monkeys and haven't gotten a Chimp scroll x 2 yet). I do not necessarily need to hurry up and get the monster as my team now is stronger without, but I want to have a strong Mischief in the future so I am breeding.

Another con that was not mentioned is the time it takes to breed. Sixteen hour cooldown means it will take you well over a week to breed from E to S class if you are not going to use coins to speed up the process.

Re: Breeding

Has anyone used the blessing function yet? Is it worth it? Without using the blessing my monsters typically only improve one grade (C- to C+ or so). Does the blessing help much? I'm curious to hear from someone who's used it.
