Anyone Pass BL Exp without using orange Egg Legendaries yet?

Hey guys,

Needed some help for my particular situation although the above post helped clarify some things i may consider.

Anyways, non-vip, s40, (yup we dont get much air time around here XD other than HaterZ really), ive made it to Bl-13 with 1 OEL, and have just met the most resistance ive ever seen possible.

Here's my team ive been using up to this point, but after here im pretty much stumped as to what to do.

S-Mino underdog, boulder +4, mb +3, sand, pod
S-Smiter force 2, smite, razor leaves, photosyn, pod
S-claw frost aura, absolute, chill +2, pod, blizz
S-angelo intimidate (i just use to cast in intim and then i swap)
s-pewg, taunt, waterbombs +3, jets, soak, foresight
s-drac adapt, sfb +1, pyroblast, wildfire, celestial

Anyways, thats my core team ive been playing around with and which has worked quite well to this point. Im just stumped now, completely...

I have Pod waiting already for Levi, pretty close to getting that...and my thoughts were maybe get Patta and use the lethal powder tactic, but that would require more EoW which im lacking atm. that being said, poison leaves is on sale right now...i have a SFB in storage which i could sell and farm for books in Jungle Exp and hope to get lethal or poison. 82 eow atm

so i could either start breeding patta and forgo my smiter, or just swap out razor leaves for poison leaves on smiter and try and see if that will kill the nasty minos im facing

or get lethal powder on patta and also razor leaves if thats even necessary...

or a 3rd consideration im thinking about it, is whether or not to get 3 more minotaurs and breed them all as earth barriers....and get them to lvl 50 each or so...but that would be even more time consuming? Ive bred about 4 more S minos all of which are underdogs ><...

Your thoughts, most helpful forumnites?

I would definitely go for the Earth Barrier Mino's.
There's currently an event on-going, giving you about 1mil free EXP from EXP Card-5's, that'll be a nice boost to start with!
From personal experience, an Earth Barrier Mino is capable of 1hitting any monster after 2 or 3 hits, when PoDed.

That being said, it will indeed take a while, however, I think it'll pay off in the long run. While training your Mino's, you could always gather up some Essence of Wisdom and try your Lethal Powder tactic, or wait for Leviathan, and go with a semi-new team!

I wouldn't bother with the discounted sales too much, as they aren't one-time sales.

sounds good, thanks koen, i kinda follow your posts religiously here and there. I try to stay out in the dark and just creep and read, but i actually needed some game advice myself this time.

Have you gotten Levi yet? or close to it? Thorn 2 levi has helped many on my server on BL 13. I myself am stuck there too. I have hydra but that thorn is wicked talent on levi. I should have my levi synthed by saturday so I just working at it. Im not really in a big hurry to beat BL expert. I will be bored silly with no goals to acheive.
There has been a few on S2 that beat BL expert and 2 days later were "Eff me Im bored!!"

My advice, take your time and enjoy. I am using the xp5 cards to level up my Levi components..

Have you gotten Levi yet? or close to it? Thorn 2 levi has helped many on my server on BL 13. I myself am stuck there too. I have hydra but that thorn is wicked talent on levi. I should have my levi synthed by saturday so I just working at it. Im not really in a big hurry to beat BL expert. I will be bored silly with no goals to acheive.
There has been a few on S2 that beat BL expert and 2 days later were "Eff me Im bored!!"

My advice, take your time and enjoy. I am using the xp5 cards to level up my Levi components..

Now that we're at it, how much damage does Thorn-II do to a Level ±75 monster?
Anyone has the answer ? Might decide to swap my current Talent for it for the sake of BL-Expert.

I dont know the answer exactly, but I got hit with it in pvp from a PoD levi and it did enough damage to my Pod chimera that I was like "HOLY What??" It does a lot more than thorn-2 pewg talent that's for sure.

So I assume it's about 15~20% damage? That's wicked !
I don't think, however, that PoD matters against Talents like Thorn .
They seem to be following a percentage rather than damage.

Thorn-II returns 30% of the damage received.

That is an absolute amount based on the number of hitpoints deducted, get hit for 100, opponent takes 30 regardless of how *hard* the hit was. Doesnt matter if a monster with 6000 ATK hits you or you have an elemental advantage/disadvantage, if you only lose 100 hp, its still only 30 hp reciprocated.

That said, doesnt anyone know about the Psychic Shields or Waterspout? Do they calculate damage like Thorn or can you do more damage to someone than you received (assuming you have higher def or elemental advantage).

yup... thats true bro.... i am bored after got setanic .....

I finished bl exprt 15 using levi, igni, patta and hippo!

I cleared BL Experts using Free OEL and Epics only
max skills upgrade: +2
Minimum 50 Resu Cards from 11 to 15
It seems hard but there's a pattern to follow but if you encounter
oel with nasty talent and annoying misses your done try again.

Strategy:
1. I never say use my lineup, Test and Adapt what monsters can
survive and win WITHOUT dying, if so, your ready men!

2. " as long you saw consider "weak" link in the beginning of the fight
quickly pull out yr best mob then cast pod , then shift and save it
for the mini/final boss "
Ex: Brawny come out; release yr plant/water then cast PoD, heal afterwards then shift again to your "Spare either plant or water" to finish Brawny.

3. For the BL15 last 2 boss Level 78 and 80; same tactics , ready your
Plant/Water mob pod in the beginning and curse mob before reaching the boss

Curse will drain Boss HP and Plant/Water mob pod will TANK until very end.
Note: +6 Skills from Minos give you half HP even in POD mode! 2 hits you die

Thats it ! Gratz! For those who whining who got no oel with them ; use brain over brute force ; the nasty talent u got the better : )
