What would YOU do if you were your server expert?

It's still world chat, not English chat.

Not much of a world chat if no one can understand each other is it? English is spoken by over 25% of the earths population and raising, English allows everyone to communicate with each other, and so far the only people who have a problem with that on this game are the Asians. They are literally the only people in the world who play this game and refuse to speak English, that's part of the reason I have a problem with them.

Not everyone has to understand each other, I can't understand half of the so called "English" spoken by supposedly native Americans either. Unfortunately in world chat most of the time more than one conversation is going to be carrying on anyway, so what's the difference if one is in another language? I definitely agree with the idea of a group private chat but you can't keep people out of WORLD chat because they're not speaking the "right" language.

A chat consisting of only one language which only 25% of the world speaks doesn't really make it world chat either. 75% of the world is being left out.

You are wrong yea Chinese/Mandarin is the most native spoken language, native being the key word. English is the most spoken language in the world as its taught as a second language. There are more native Chinese speakers but more English speakers in the world. That's why I kinda agree with Rex English is the universal language for everyone to communicate but I don't agree that the world chat should be restricted to strictly English unless a private group chat is established

It's actually ranked third, but that's NATIVE speakers, 330 million I believe. The 1.8 billion is out of the 6.6 billion people in the world that can speak English to some extent, making it the most spoken language in the world. Course if we are talking online then 36% of users speak English, which I believe is still the majority seeing how the other 64% is every other language, so that means 1/3 of the people online speak English (roughly) which probably applies to this game as well, though the number is probably higher. As for the Chinese, they have their own servers now. So they don't even count towards these figures really.

@schwag most of those 75% don't even play this game. I'm not seeing countries like Somalia or Niger having high user counts for example. Take out the third world countries and that removes roughly 85% of the worlds population, about 5.7 billion people. So that means that of the 6.6 billion people in the world, 980,000,000 live in devolved countries, of that number I don't know the numbers off hand, but I'd say of that more than 25% are English speakers, in fact I'd say it's more like 80-90%. Now of course there are a couple devolving countries to add to that number that are more developed than others , Thailand and india for example, but those two alone have roughly 140,000,000 people who can speak English.

When you actually sit down and think you realize that the percent of people playing this game that CAN'T speak English to some capacity is so much smaller than the present of people who can, even if it's not well, then you realize it's foolish not to just because you want to. It's selfish for a minority to refuse to do something the vast majority of people are doing simply because they feel that they're somehow better or more special than anyone else. Name ONE group of people, outside of the Asian community, that speak their native language instead of English. French? Nope. German? Nope. Spanish? Nope. Sure you'll have random three sentence conversations here and there but never have the entire chat be literally nothing EXCEPT those languages. So tell me why is it that the Thai do it? Do you just enjoy being special or do you all think you're somehow above the other players? Players from countries where English IS NOT a primary language speak it out of respect to the majority (English speakers) and yet the Thai don't because why? Do you know what I think when I see players speaking a language other than English for prolonged periods of time ESPECIALLY in this case thanks to the history of exploiting in the Thai community? I immediately think that they are talking about ways to cheat, they are talking about other players behind their backs (I've seen usernames appear randomly during their conversations, I know it happens), and that they are talking about boosting in pvp. I've translated many of their messages to each other and in between the casual conversations I've come across discussions of boosting, telling other player's team line ups for ladder, and different exploits even I didn't know about and they get away with it because no one can understand it except them and they're all in on it together.

So please, give me one good reason why English shouldn't be the main language spoken in chat.

...English is most widely spoken, while Chiense is spoken by most number people. I think we are missing the point.
I don't think speaking another language is a crime, forming a type of cult is borderline, but cursing,using dirty words, insulting others should definitely be addressed by an expert in charge.

Also, why are we talking about Chinese. They have 34 Chinese servers, if one speaks Chinese, I'm sure he most likely has Chinese language on his iPhone, thus will be offered to choose a server between 101 and 134.
Thais don't have a server to their own, so they have to mingle with players from all over the world.

Server 38 is full of English speaking people, we just have one constant troll that you can welcome to yor ignore list
