Needles S grade

Just to be clear, the percentage is of the damage received, not of total health. You take 100 damage with Thorn II you reciprocate 30 damage back. With Thorn III that will probably be 50 or 60 damage back.

It is not, I repeat NOT a function of either monsters total health.

total damage on the hp i guess... coz even when opponent gives critical it still goes to the hp gone on the monster not on the total crit damage he gives (: , just a thought but still i might be wrong also ... will test further with ein if we have time regarding when hit in normal and hit on crit if it will be the same...

Crits don't make a difference, it still looks at the damage received for all reciprocation moves.

A=Starting HP
B=Ending HP
Thorn: (A-B)*0.15=Amount reciprocated as an absolute value
Thorn II: (A-B)*0.3=Amount reciprocated as an absolute value
Waterspout: (A-B)*(1+(0.05*each skill upgrade))=Base amount reciprocated as an an absolute value. Reciprocated amount is Magical Water damage and affected by enemy monster element and weather and any skills/talents that affect Magical attacks specifically. B must be > 0.
Magic Mirror/Mirror Shield: (A-B)*2=Amount reciprocated as an absolute value, where B must be > 0.

To test Thorn III just do some math and solve for Z:

A-B=((X-Y)/Z)

Where:
X=Their monsters starting HP
Y=Their monsters ending HP
Z=The percentage of the damage they inflicted that gets reciprocated.

You have Needles, you can see both monsters HP in every fight, just pick a fight where it'll take over 100 damage in a hit.

I recommend just screenshotting a tonne until you get the before and after shots to get the numbers. That's how I was able to get all the Waterspout mechanics down and it is a lot more complicated than Thorn.

185 DEF is a lot. 137 MDEF isn't, but can be upgraded to 207, which is decent.

But certainly, there will be monsters that can 1-hit it.

Needles wont be any help in upcoming maps ( exp mode ).

If there were an "epic only pvp room" then needles and bragga could rock da house. But maybe it will come out in HM 3 or 4

good to see this (: we are almost right on the computation on it when it reach level 60... hope u may test whats the real deal of thorn 3 on the damage and post it again here ....
