Why me ? T.T

So , my gryphion and my opponent's gryphion both jump on the battle at the same turn , the other's gryphion uses pod but mine just throws a random attack like a dumb blonde O.o
Why only happens to me ??? Y noth ever works perfect when i am the one using it -_---------------
