New - are these monsters good?

Just started playing yesterday and I wanted to know if any of these monsters are good before I start levelling them:

Poe, Bud, Chimp, Echo, Twiggy, Cygness, Chunky, Draconio, Minotaur and Neon.

I take it minotaur is good as it's legendary. There seems like a lot of epic monsters so not sure about the others.

It depends on how far you are in the game.

A main reason in Haypi Monsters is: The higher the rank, the better the monster.

Minotaur is by far the best, try to get him to S rank first when you hit level 15.
Others that are worth leveling are Cygness, Chunky and Neon.

I'm only level 10. I take it you go up ranks by breeding as I see there's a hatchery and male/female?

Is the starter not worth levelling too?

Thanks, I actually got 2 minotaurs by opening an egg, I take it they are quite rare then.

The starter is worth breeding, if, you got an opposite gender Draconius.
For your question about breeding, I'll quote a piece of the Guide I wrote:

Hatchery

[HM506]

The Hatchery is unlocked at Level. 15 and is used to breed monsters to get a higher rank.
The ranks vary from E- to S. S is significantly stronger than E-, but it's not a great problem when you're new to this game. You can pass all the Normal maps without S monsters, but I won't give you much chance in Ladder or PvP without any .
You can opt to use Blessing, which can be gained from Sacrificing monsters, during breeding. This will increase your bred monsters rank more than it would without Blessing. Your rank will likely increase from E to D- without Blessing, with Blessing, it will go up to D or D+.

And yes, Legendaries from Orange Eggs always come in breeding pairs .

This might be a stupid question, but where do I find the daily tasks? I can't see them anywhere?

You're level 10, have no idea what you're doing, and you got a bloody Minotaur? That's bs.

Bottom left corner, there's a scroll icon there, click it then scroll down to the bottom and it shows your daily tasks.

You're level 10, have no idea what you're doing, and you got a bloody Minotaur? That's bs.

Everyone has to start at the beginning - am I supposed to be an expert the first time I open a new game?

Bottom left corner, there's a scroll icon there, click it then scroll down to the bottom and it shows your daily tasks.

There's a scroll in the bottom right, it shows Main task and Branch task, but not daily task? I ask because I have crystal shards.

Wait for reset then, at 8 pm eastern time everyday, we get new daily tasks, I don't think you get them your first day.
