About originality some people fuss so much about~

Tell me our game has no monster that has any resemblance to any of those pokemon. Can you honestly say that.

Having resemblance to an existing pokemon, digimon, or other games
is not illegal, apparently, not by Haypi’s standard anyway.

Of course contest participants should NOT copy others' works, one need to come up with his/her own monster. but if your monster has a look alike in pokemon, all of a sudden, you are treated like a pariah ? puff.

Pizy some guy literally posted a picture of Houndoom and called it his pen after renaming it hound...this contest is full of cheaters.
A guy recolored an Internet picture and called it his own, is this what haypi means by drawing talent?

I don't recal any Pokemon that look like Cerberus, Minotaur, or hydra just off the top of my head. Also what about funkis? Only mushroom like Pokemon is parasect/Paris but they're part crab too. I mean yea there are similarities but there IS a difference between similar and copyright infringement, you might wanna trade your science/medical degree for a law degree to better understand that difference.

Both are red dragons, both are starters, and both are fire type. HOWEVER, charizard's tail is on fire, he's more of an orange-red color among other differences. That's not copying.

In my opinion, those pictures you posted of pokemon sure give the inspiration but are completely different in Haypimon versions which I am totally cool with. But some people are posting direct pokemon copies as well as league of legends and even death note pictures and renaming to "ghost legendary" crap when they haven't even modified anything. To me that is disgusting. If you take the basic concept of a pokemon and draw it different like structurally and all then fine. If all you do is take a pokemon and change the color schematics and not anatomically, then your artwork deserves to burn to a crisp.
