A few questions...

Hi guys :) I just have a few questions. I started playing five days ago and I've been leveling boarbarian and the fire monster you get when you start drocinus or something.

First of all, is boarbarian good? I've noticed it saves me a lot because of its mobility in being able to use 4 different attribute attacks.

Second of all, how do you turn epics into S monsters? I haven't used the hatchery yet, because I just can never seem to get two of the monsters I want to breed yet.

And third, what is a generally good comp for a 2v2? Just assuming you don't know who you will be battling.

Hope to hear back soon! Thanks in advance.

Hi there! Welcome to the game and I hope you're enjoying it!
Also, glad to see you in the forum!

Boarbarian, unfortunately, is more of a novelty monster. It can't learn any other skills besides those and when you get to the end game, you need much better skills than those. Try and get an epic monster and train those. ^^
Open blue eggs (the one that costs 9 gold coins) as they seem to reward the best. Good luck if you do!

To get S grade monsters, you need to breed them. Just get two of the same monsters, opposite gender and both level 15+ and start breeding! Try and get to S with your epic monsters as you'll need them later on - for ladders and PvP!

For 2v2, you should try and get a neutral monster like Flight or a Ghost or a Psychic monster, if you don't know what the types are. This saves you from having to face a weakness. However, EVERY epic monster will have its uses so whichever one you can get your hands on first, use it. Try and get it to S first so you will use it later on.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Just ask if you have more questions!

I suggest you train smither if you have one. It's really a good monster to have even on the late game :)

Draconius and smiter will really help you to get through sealed space later.

I agree!
Smiter will be one of the first epic monsters you will get be able to get as its scroll and catalysts are available in Jungle veteran modes.

However, any epics you can get your hands on will do! They will all be able to get you through Sealed Space and be used in ladders and PvP.

Re: A few questions...

While we are in the questions thread, I figure I'll ask a few questions myself.

1. Regarding those daily bonus(the one that give $, potions, cards and runes) are those random or constant? Like day1 will always be $ and 5 will be rune. If not how do you get rune daily?

2. I have a Neon with Adapt and wanted to give it PoD, TS, Rain Maker/STS and can't decide on the 4th one. I read on here that Cunning, Mind Bending,
Wind Blast or Chill is a good choice. I have Chill here but was wondering why is Chill a good choice.

3. I found that doing ladder the monsters that give me the most trouble are Meniss w/PoD and Fight w/PoD. Now if my Neon w/Adapt and Flight go head to head who would win most likely without any rain. I assume Flight would win since Flight has no elemental weakness. What about against Meniss?

Sorry if any of these didn't make any senses. I am confused myself ;). Anyway, any advices will be appreciated.

Yes, these are constant. I think the amount of silver receive changes with your account level, though. But other than that, everything is the same so you can log in everyday and for every fifth day, you get an ultimate rune gem.

Because Neon has the same attack and magical attack stats, it may be good thing to put in a skill that is not Electric type, to combat its weaknesses. Chill, Mind Bending and Cunning essentially plays the same role, just with different types they have an advantage against. Chill may be a good option as it may carry a freeze debuff.

Neon versus Flight with the talents you mentioned and both have PoD will usually result in Neon winning. An example of a scenario where Flight will win is when it has Tech 2 as its talent and it uses Frenzied Attack and that hits 5 times - which is usually a KO against most monsters.

Hope this helps!

Re: A few questions...

Ok, thanks for the reply. Now for the 3rd skill if I use Rain Maker combine with PoD, can Neon OHKO any monster with just TS or it'll only work with STS? I haven't gotten a chance to use it still trying to get it to lvl50. So trying to decide what skill to buy.

Neon cannot 1hKO all the monsters, but most with STS. TS might need two, or even 3, shots when it comes to monsters like Hippogon, Vertedeath.

This is my advice:
If you know that you will ALWAYS have rain set-up before sending Neon out, STS will be a better choice. But this is only if you know you'll have him first. Without rain, STS will be more of a hindrance, rather than useful.

TS might be weaker but it is far much more reliable.

Re: A few questions...

Thanks for the advice as always ;)

Yeah, I plan to put it after Cygness. I chose Cygness cause it is more of an offensive type compare to Pewgway. I want to have as much rain turns as possible for Neon. Now, on the subject of Cygness, I have a question regarding Seduction. Seduction only help with you not getting hit or does it actually improve sealing chance? I read how some ppl captured with only a few cards using Seduction. So I tried it on my alt account and captured both a Cygness and a Neo with 1 card each. I was so happy so went ahead with my main but it was a failure. So I guess either my alt account was extreme lucky or am I doing something wrong? Another question is Execution useful? I assume it suck since discription sound real powerful but I have yet heard anyone talk about it here. Sorry for the long post again.

Re: A few questions...

I think good is a relative term, I like boar a lot on my second where I am not using any coins. It has pretty good flexibility for getting through the levels up to sealed space with no work on finding books or training specific monsters. I team him with my free c Draco with adapt and have been leveling those two up and have done pretty well in the single player part.
That being said, it is by no means a long term monster. As soon as I get my other epic either by catching or from random white eggs, I will certainly replace it.

I do agree with everything else though. Smiter is the first I have bred to s. either force 2 or healer is a good skill on it.
