I forgot? Does breeding two pure S without blessing the result is a pure S?

No, but it will be fairly close to it.
You MAY also get a pure S one as a result of breeding without blessing but you'll more likely get one with 1-3 A+ stats.

Is it worth leveling it to 50 and then cheap out on a blessing?

Well, some players breed until they get the right skill.
Obviously, blessing will not always be available if you need a lot of breeding.
It's best to get what you need first before doing any levelling first.
Levelling to 50 does nothing for breeding.

On s2 a player bred 2 pure S mosters without blessing and got an A+ monster. So I use blessing for anything that requires a Super love potion. Even if its an A breeding with a C..

I have bred an A- and a B- and got a B+ without blessing.
I have also bred 2 pure s and got a pure s, but that was about 1/4 chance.
