Prayer Books

Are people actually putting them (Celestial Prayer, Rain Prayer) on their monsters? Or do most people just keep re-starting a level until they get the weather or lack of weather that they want? Personally, I just re-start.

I realize that there will be mosters within maps that have talents/skills that can call up a specific weather, but I know I don't want to waste one of my 4 slots on a freaking weather book...especially on a monster I actually use.

Has anyone found a REAL need for these prayer books? Or do they seem to be more for convenience? I don't want to sell them if I'm going to need them later, but I also don't want them on my monsters or taking up slots in my bag and making me upgrade.

It's really too bad I can't throw them on a D Chimp that I don't use, but could use if I needed to...

Do I have to throw Celestial Prayer on a low grade Flicker and Rain Prayer on a low grade Oogway just so that if I eventually need them I have them? Really? What are you all doing?

I don't think you can change weather in vet/expert levels that way.. Celestial prayer has helped me a lot with veteran ice..
My 1st try I went with all s team 41+ draco, flight, scythe, meniss & almost whole team wiped out every battle... I changed to lv26 s draco with prayer, draco, scythe, flight & whole team survives 80% of battles..

Oh crap. I've been playing easy (for me) Vet modes since the update because I don't want to have to deal with all of the advanced skills that I think we're all hoping they'll fix soon, so I haven't bothered with trying to change the weather there.

Maybe they're just trying to get us to have different Map Monsters than Ladder and PVP monsters?

While that makes some sense, it kind of sucks because I've been leveling my PVP/Ladder monsters by using them as primary map monsters. Guess I might have to rethink that...

i put celestial prayer onto my S ignigtmare and it's pretty useful i must say. not only it does boost up fire attacks, it also boost grass attacks during the battle. if you had a smiter with you, it's poison leaves deals 135 power instead of 90 during scorching.

I'm finding some skills that are really helping me in map would kill me in ladder. Ie celestial.. In ladder if 2 dracos are fighting the one with prayer will lose.. But even with a lv48s draco I can't pass veteran ice without prayer..
I don't think you need to rethink all of ur map/ladder monsters.. Just add some ~lv25-30 monsters in for specific maps.

Ignit with 90 skill and prayer. Useful in pvp
