VIP Points, just need an explanation

In the patch notes it said that VIP points would be added.... Could someone explain that to me, I am currently VIP 3, and how does it affect me?

Hi, lets say you originally purchased 1000 coins. The 9 VIP progress points will be added to your current 1000 points, giving you 1009 points. This makes it easier to get a higher VIP. Even VIP 5 players will get 9 VIP points, moving them from 2000 to 2009.

How exactly does this help? If you have 2000 why would 9 points matter... I'm sure they would spend the extra one dollar at that point if they are border line lol... This seems a little pointless... Only helpful to someone who wants VIP 1 for a dollar instead of 2 dollars in which case 1 VIP point was enough...

It is terribly, terribly useless. Please, if possible, don't buy gold at all. Just a dollar, then never again. :/ Especially with those chests? I think they're just being stupid.

I know ~4 people on my server who will spend hundreds for coins and justify their spending with "I have the money, so why not? I don't need anything else."

I only bought it for blessing, but then they made it for everyone. I have never forgave them since and vowed never to buy again. I only have coins still thanks to the competition I won a while ago.
