I understand what you meant, and it's probably how it works, but none of us know for sure.

I'm guessing English is t your first language, dotaplayer?

 oh no....is my English really that bad? Ehehehhhe.
English is not my first language, but I'm staying at Singapore and communication using English all the time.

Cheers :D

It's not terrible, it's just a little choppy. I understand it, but some people might get confused.

Re: Punishment

This is why I was hoping support could let us know lol we have no idea how it really works.

I just witnessed it again, this time my gryphion had pod but was paralyzed and someone used punishment+5 with their S verte and did about 50 damage when it clearly should've finished off the 150 or so hp I had left.

Re: Punishment

The developers wanted to differentiate Pod effects from other stat increase effects. The same applies with the skill Relay (cannot pass Power of Darkness effects). As for now, the effects are counted as one increase. In comparison to accelerator 4x, each increase happened separately and the power increase of Punishment was also 4 times. In case for Smiter, the power of Punishment may have been increased by the Pod effect but it was also decreased my the paralysis. The the power increase was negated and the increased defense of Smiter should have weakened the damage.

It would be nice to see these hidden stat changes though. But yea, I agree. It should be counted as 5 increases. Not sure how difficult it is to program the skill to behave specifically like this without affecting its interaction with other skills.

It's stated on the description that the calculation based on opponent stat changes and its not based on any debuff(par, psn, stn, frzn, burn, etc). However, paralyzed debuff does decrease the monster speed by half.

On neon case, accelerator increase it 4 times. Therefore punishment power increase 4 times.

On smiter case, paralyzed didn't increase punishment power at all. It even decrease punishment power by a lot due to the halved speed change.
I'm not sure about pod effect wether 1 time or 5 times. But even if it is 5 times, the increment is still less than the speed decreased which is half of it.

So it is logical.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Cheers :D

You contradicted yourself big time.

How did he?!?
