Even if Chunky were to use POD-blizzard-chill, given Chunky's slow speed (under 100 before casting POD), Chunky may still be attacked/hit 3 times before he attacks.

Regarding the POD Ignightmare you faced, did it have intimidate as its ability?

If I recall correctly, the Ignightmare's talent didn't activate throughout the entire fight. Even if it did have Intimidate, chances are it won't affect any of my monsters as:
i. Ignightmare has very high speed, thus entering the battle first (as superfly88_713 had pointed out), and
ii. It was the first monster in my opponent's line-up anyway.

My rule for using PoD is simple. After casting it my monster should attack first the following turn. I currently have Neon (equipped with Winged Boots) as my sole PoD user and it has always managed to attack first on the following turn against other popular PoD casters like Flight, Meniss or occasionally, Smiter. The only time it has gone second after casting PoD was against that Ignightmare.

EDIT: Rhor would be another monster that's faster than my Neon, but as of now I have yet to face one on my server's Ladder or PvP.

Re: PoD's Monster Collection & Explaination

I have fought Ignightmares (with intimidate ability) as the first monster in my opponent's line-up numerous times, and intimidate always activated against my first monster.

Re: PoD's Monster Collection & Explaination

I know this thread is getting aged, but with Fenrir, Hippo, and Gryphion in play now, Has any views changed on who to put PoD on? Besides the legendaries.

What's your thoughts on what monster to use to counter the new legendaries?

I currently have Neon with PoD, but I have acquired another. I am kinda anxious to put it somewhere! lol. I have S ignite, Smiter, Pegway, Rhor, Flight, Meniss, Brawny, and Blocky. (all S monsters) the current builds don't bother me if I need to change them. So think of them as a blank slate if you will.

Cough em up I need some Eye Deers!!! Please

Re: PoD's Monster Collection & Explaination

Given that there are a lot of new legendaries and it seems like Fenrir's Invalidate though not a total game changer may affect your line-up..

You may want to consider Flight w/ Penetrate and PoD to counter it.. Without any elemental weakness it should do fairly and would benefit your team on both ladder and PvP..

I've been pondering a lot about this Flight build lately.. Penetrate, PoD, Heal, Super Firebomb, Massive Boulder.. Reasons?

1. To counter Invalidating Fenrir / Neon, Penetrate would cut through with PoD.. I'm not sure if STAT debuff would take place by cutting through again with Penetrate
2. Excellent Dual Duel combo w/ Invalidating monsters against Fenrir(Super Firebomb) and Gryphion (Massive Boulder)
3. Downside would be the limited PP and complication regarding the concurrency of Penetrate on STAT gain and reduction
