Items counted in ladder?

I have been told numerous times that they aren't.

But as you say that, is it just the boots, etc. that are counted, if they are? Because I KNOW jellies aren't.

No jellies and potions but yes sharp claw, shield, boots ect are counted or at least I have reason to believe so.

I am almost sure no items are counted.
Go to the ladder page and click on the top left, i.e. the first monster in your team. As you can see, the item is not listed. This suggests that items are not used.

Then my dracos damage varies in ladder:/

I'm pretty sure equipment doesn't count in ladder

I'm sure items that add stats are counted in the ladder..
How did I know I try it many times..
E.g. Rank S flight lvl 50 no boots vs rank S flight with boots lvl 50 always attack first...
