Flicker Gender Question and Scene Team Questions!

Okay so I have 2 Flicker scrolls right now and I am soon I need of something to replace my Draco. So my question is; would it be better to spend money on simply breeding the monsters needed to synthesize Flicker to A rank or should I hope for opposite gender Flickers? The reason I ask this is because it took me ~6 Slider scrolls to get a female. Also, should I bother breeding it to S rank, or just keep it at A/B?

For the scene explorations, right now I am at [Normal FC - 9], [Veteran Canyon - 4] and [Expert Miracle Sea - 2]. I'm hoping to have a team like this by the time I reach level 21 (I'm almost level 20 right now):
Blocky, Shriek, Smiter and Ignightmare.
I already have an A Blocky and B+ Smiter (Not gonna breed it higher). I'm also breeding a Shriek right now (Should I go for S or stay at A?). I also have a second Smiter (37), B+ Mystik (35) and B+ Glaze (33) for extras.
Is there anything I should change? I have 2 Sharp claws and a Warriors Helmet. I also don't want to get a Behemoth or Sycthe to replace my Blocky >.>

No, you WILL get more Flicker scrolls if you try to go for them if you somehow get the same genders from the scrolls you have now. I feel that an S Ignightmare will be very beneficial to your team. I think that breeding the monsters needed for synthesis is going to take much longer than getting 2 different-gendered Ignightmares. If you can get it to S, get it to S.
Keep going on the Expert modes. You need to keep doing these to get those advanced skill books! Keep trying.
Blocky is most definitely fine. However, its survivability versus the prevalent Neons and Dracos is much lower than Behemoth and the likes because of its poor magical defence.
Your team is fine. If you can get any monster to S, try and do so. If you feel that it will be a waste of resources for that extra point in each stat, then, you can stop.

Breed them up. Doing the synth way takes 10 times as long and cost 10 times as much. And u end up with one mob.

Been there done that

Although much has been argued about random genders from synthesis, whenever I have 2 scrolls I always make sure one is synthesized from all males and the other from all females. Hope this helps. Ps renaming ur mobs to make it easily identifiable is recommended too

Add a physical type too it will complement your shriek! Plus some expert maps ban elementals <.<!
