Well in 1.2, the ladder AI was improved. Too much. Then they dumbed it down, and too dumb lol. Hopefully they'll find a good balance one day.

I hoped in my feedback for the contest that they will find a balance on the intelligence of bots. They can't really just make them so smart because, then, there might be no point in playing the game at all if you can just click on auto every time - no need for strategies!
However, I do hope they keep adjusting this. I find it fun to find the right strategy for ladders. Even one small adjustment can make a big difference to ladder strategies!
