No countdown timers after FC on Android

Hi all,

There is a problem with the game on Android. I have 3 upgrades and a research going on. The countdown timers at the top of the screen are not visible after a force close, but they obviously work because I can't start any new development.
The force close happened after talking in the chat room, then closing chat and hitting the Tasks (key) button if it's any help.
I'm using a HTC Desire with the newest vanilla Android ROM (no HTC Sense).

It happens on the ipod as well. You just need to restart the game a few times.
