Spamming Starved Troop messages

I have already posted a thread on this, but last time people who obviously hadn't read half of the post decided to tell me stupid/obvious things about starved troops.

Attempt #2

A month or two ago I starved cavs in one city (10k). When I got on later, I noticed this and when I went to my inbox I found it was spammed with starved troop messages. There were about 20 per second (guestimate). I was wondering what happened. I will try to post the ss on the forum soon, but heres an example:

This deleted some VERY important messages and p----- me off as well. Now can anyone tell me what happened? Btw, I know that once my crop runs out I lose troops (just to prevent stupid/obvious answers).

Something like his happened to me today o.O I had negative production in those cities but had crop for at least 3 or 4 hours :/
Amongst the "lost city troops" messages, there were quite a few "lost fortified troops" messages.. I never keep troops in forts..

hmm wierd...i think this time i did lose all crop, but there was a time when i was looking over a friend's account and he had plenty of crop. He lost 100 cats and got a lost fortified troops message...
