Can't upgrade title

I can't upgrade my title past 1st civilian even though I have more than enough prestige.

For task 27 upgrade general title you need 1150 prestige AND a nugget. When you change your "title" you will always need a treasure {civilian-baron} you can get a nugget from hunting; 2000 infantry or more, Market; you will need in game money or gold; normal price is 20-35k, chests; level 2 chests contain Nuggets about 10-20% of the time.

u dont ned 2k inf , i hunted one with 200 >> also pls dont use these colors theyre hurting my eyes..... omg i remeber the times where the whole forum was full of pink names. OUCH

You can also buy one with coins, or get lucky with daily gift.

im assuming all these people who have said that they cant upgrade title are android users, where for some the task does not display required treasures, hopefully haypi recognises this issue and fixes it soon, but dont hold your breath lol

This is correc and it sucks, I got a nugget as a daily gift and sold it because that's all it seemed good for.

i didnt even know you can get those from daily gifts lol.

Sounds like it could be one of a few things.
1. As stated above you need a nugget + the prestige.
2. You may not have done enough tasks for the "Upgrade general" task to show up yet. Do more tasks.
3. Are you tapping the get rewards button on the task?

If you do have the requirements listed under the task and still can not level up, take screen shots and send them to support.
