Could anyone provide tips for someone just starting out and has less than 100 troops?

or if possible a decent way to earn money?

Re: Tips for small hunting parties

hunting is very dependent on the size of army you hunt with, so hunting with 100 troops will obviously not bring you much money.

the best way to earn money is to farm people for resources and sell them on the market

The easiest way to get money is to coin them. Thats the most simple way, but it is also the most expensive way. A cheaper way to make money is to sell your resources. Now, If you're on a new server which has decent resource prices, I totally recommend that you spend some coins and sell resources.

Yes and buy items from your coins and sell Them low. An average gem is sold by 100k. It cost you 24 coins to buy one. With the 24 coins you could also got 48000$ from it. So you get 50000$ more with selling one gem. Then change coins to $

Should I sell my silver box for NPC price, open it, or market it?

Re: Tips for small hunting parties

sell to NPC as it is by far the most risk free option and will give you a boost in money, you are currently unable to sell chests on the market

great point! If they make an update making you aloud to sell gold and silver chests on the market you will get more than what NPC want for them. So all in all i would save them to, because they might turn out to be a money maker really soon ;)
