Re: advantage of speed (coming soon)

i know what you mean uranos it isnt much good in a battle where cats are involved as thats a little too devestating and also dont try this with a lower lvl as you will get hammered by the battle formula and gain nothing
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Re: advantage of speed (coming soon)

Uranos is simply saying an Inf vs Inf, or Cav vs Cav....not a mix of troops, and he's right.....and here's why:

The slower Inf army will sustain an attack, get damaged and then counterattack. THEN, in the SAME turn, the slower Inf army gets to make it's actual turn (counterattack doesn't count) meaning it gets an additional attack. Therefore it gets an opportunity to deal two attacks before the faster army does, provided it survives the first attack (no lucky attacks, even attack and defense ratings for both armies, etc)

Therefore it is clear that there exists a threshold for the amount of troops the defense could have that could actually survive and deal a killing blow in one round. Obviously, the slower army must be bigger (meaning more troops), but it can be done.

I'm not gonna do the math right now....(in the style of an Uranos post, you'll have to take my word for it, lol) but later I will, if Uranos doesn't beat me to it :lol:

Re: advantage of speed (coming soon)

let me see if I've got this right

blue=Defending troops' speed bonus (percentage from base)
red=Attacking troops' speed bonus (percentage from base)
green=Defending troops' army size
yellow=Attacking troops' army size
cav: 0,8% (1008 vs 1000)
arch: 5,6% (1056 vs 1000)
cats: 11,19% (1119 vs 1000)

EDIT: Looking at your original post again, I think I'm misunderstanding something..

Re: advantage of speed (coming soon)

Wow no that can't be correct. how about you test stuff before you post and make people lose troops and prestige.
There's no such thing as a dumb question or suggestion. Just one that is not well researched.

Re: advantage of speed (coming soon)

this post is confusing but it worked, i asked someone with lower speed to attack me and he won the battle with 1050 infs when i only had 1000. so you obviously have done something wrong

Re: advantage of speed (coming soon)

See heres the thing....it's gonna rely on other stats as well.
To understand how this works, I suggest being sure that ALL your attributes/equipment/tech Are of an equal value to your opponent (except for speed, of course!) After all, a couple extra points of defense could throw your results off.

When testing things like this, you really need to create a controlled environment.....
