Attacking Up in Rank

Haypi Attacking Up Guide:

I typically do not play games like Haypi Kingdom simply because of the extreme advantage they give to time. Games similar to WoW.. A new player has ZERO chance of facing and winning against a player that has been around for any relevant time. Games like Shooters, the old WC, SC, and ones that have more strategy developed in the battle at-least gives a newer player a chance against a more developed player. The basic strategy in happy is build big armies, and hide them unless you can drop in and snag a pp hit (or just run them into a wall of your opponents troops). I and other players have suggested that Haypi incorporates more strategy in the game, but until that happens you need to find ways to work with-in the system. I see plenty of “these troops do this... these troops do that” guides, but no REAL attacking strategy guides.

First, there are 2 players in Haypi
“Natural”: these are players that play, earn and build without the aid of buying extra coins.
“Steroid”: these are the players that invest in coins to help speed up their advancement.
This talks about a Natural vrs a Natural

For this guide, we are going to say a 1st Marquis is wanting to go after a top 50 ranked player, with an average rank of 2nd Duke. The difference between these two stats are: (including main)

Rank Cities Oasis Fort
1M 5 8 4
1D 6 9 5

When it comes to a straight up battle, biggest difference between these 2 ranks are that the Duke will have an additional 38 Attribute points and 26 Skill points (obviously which gives them better chance to be faster and/or stronger and better chance to have a hidden attack or clean out your cranny). The attribute point difference alone is 132 to 170 (about a 28% advantage over the 1st Marq)

The second advantage is the troop support and logistics that the 1st Duke has. Providing that the Duke only upgrades their extra city resources to 15 and both have all level 9 crop oasis, this will still give the 1st Duke and additional 13428 crop support for troops (or 13428/3357/6714/1342). (another 17% advantage - so far about a 45% advantage)

crop production:
city/fort 1M - 2D
9728 48640 - 58368
3700 29600 - 33300
total= 78240 - 91668

-For ease, let’s just say all cav. So the 1M can sustain 19,560 cav, while the 1D can sustain 22917 cav. This does not include the advantage they have in buying crops from what they make in income from their forts and hunts.

These numbers are more drastic the further apart you are. So it is safe to say you are not going to win a straight up battle and will need to use other tactics. One of which is starving (there are starve tactics on the forum to refer to)

Ultimately, your goal is to level the playing grounds. One problem with these suggested tactics and starving is that the higher ranked player can dispatch and move their troops around to counter your every move. So if you are trying to take crops, they could out “army” your every move. In order for you to make this work, you need 3 things: speed, stealth, and friends. (friends can be other players or alts). -and to hope that your enemy sleeps.

**NOTE: any starve tactics or following suggested tactics will most likely get an alliance after you, you alliance, anyone who helps, the person who helps alliance, attacks on your alts, or potentially even reveal your alts -this is a given**

speed, stealth, and friends.

The very first thing to do is homework. Find their sub cities and forts, watch WC for times you see them on and off. If they are always quiet, watch to see hunt results or daily gifts, or if you can get a spy in their alliance you can see exactly when they tend to be on and off, and plan your strike according to that. Probe and scout neighboring cities to see if they are getting supplies from farms and what cities they are, so that you can use that farm while you are there.

Next
you have to take away their resource advantage:
In this situation, your first goal is to take away three cities. This is not to be a jerk, but the simple fact is that you can not control the attribute difference, but you can control their resource advantage and supply. This will also greatly diminish their ability to produce troops. (with only taking 2 cities, they still have a little percentage advantage over you from the attribute difference) By taking three cities it will give you the upper hand. This would also take away any extra resources that they may be selling to buy crops in order to supply their troops.

2. you need to take away forts:
Once again you are taking away money to buy crop with, but you are also limiting their ability to move troops to and from far away cities.

move in on crop oasis or even iron oasis so they can not sell it to buy crops.

To do the previous steps you must organize at-least 6 accounts including your own. (With 6 will get you the three cities) Now that Oasis and Forts do not count as hits, you could clean all those out and the forts on you own. It is also advisable to try and have 60 coins saved so you can drop your main and then move the taken city. -this is do-able through free coins.

*if their cities were spread out, split your attack partners in pairs of 2s per city less coins will be needed because it will be harder to take the city back, then have each person send 10-15 messages to the player. This will spam their mailbox and most likely make it more difficult for them to find/remember where their cities are located. (try to keep the message PG rated)

24 hours later, or after any return attacks you can start attacking for resources which will make it more difficult for them to maintain any significant troop count.

---===---===---
Notes:
-People complain about people teaming up on them, the only reason this happens is because of limitations with haypi. One person can only do so much damage, the only way you can level the playing field is to use the attacks from the other people.
-This is just for a Normal player vrs Normal player, ease and difficulty will change if the 1M is Normal, while the 1D is a Steroid or reverse. (odds are if they are top 50, they buy coins)
-this does not take in consideration of equipment advantage, hopefully by 1st Marq you will have 15/15/15/15/10
-Timing is critical, if their alliance gets involved before you can cripple the player, your movement will most likely fail. (after your homework, if the strike is well organized, you could potentially do this in less than an hour)
-depending on the player, they may have alerts and make them come back online
-most high ranking players with big troop counts also tend to have their cities in clusters instead of spread out. (not always the case but typical)

--
I have given you the basics of the strike and what the goals are and how to approach it. You should expect and plan for things to go wrong. -have a plan in place, do not plan to figure it out at that time. A few things that could throw a wrench in the plan:
-one of your 6 city hitters attacks the wrong city or does not get their hit to the right place at the right time
-one of your people flakes out
-the person comes on, or they alert their alliance, they catch wind of your plan
-you find out that you don’t have room for taking the cities
-plus many others for you to figure out

Nice guide, i dont think you would simply add the percentage however. Eventually you could plausibly reach 101% according to the adding method.

Re: Attacking Up in Rank

Pretty good, but you jump around from 2nd duke to 1st duke, and when you are talking about sustaining cav lets say, that is with no negative, an ambitious lvl 15 can easily have a larger army then a semi-active lvl 17, timid lvl 17, chatty lvl 17, non aggresive lvl 17 etc., so it is possible for a lvl 15 to beat a lvl 17, especially if the lvl 15 has the aid of strategy (meaning tactics, and tricks that experienced players can use to their advantage)

Re: Attacking Up in Rank

Nice. I would add a few comments:

Even at 1st Marquis, the money you get from forts is insignificant compared to the money you get from hunting, so it's questionable whether it's worth bothering attacking peoples forts. Come to think of it, keeping forts is questionable per se lol. But they are worth occupying and resigning straight away so the guy wastes his time getting them back. It's an ego thing with the top players....

Secondly, if you're sure that the opponent is asleep, it's better attacking his cities and clearing his defences before you attack his crops, so if his troops are returned from hunting it's easier to take them out.

Thirdly, there is a way to figure out pretty much exactly when a player is online, without having to check wc (or hunting reports) but i'll leave people to figure that out themselves. Just, if you're going to hit a much higher ranked player, take your time and plan well as you said.

And fourthly, kind of like what beatlesfan said above, i'd disagree that there isn't much a lower ranked player can do against a higher ranked player. Never mind stats, there's a lot of ways to outsmart and outplay your opponents..
