Hunting formula explained

i know, it wasnt exactly 40k, iam always hunting more gold than the npc price,not much more tho, around 40100-41000 for scepter, i tried today again, got around 40100 gold..

Thanks for sharing your result. Both of your scepter hunts were in the normal range for scepter. But what are you doing hunting in a level 8 oasis?
On May 20th I hunted a scepter at 46.666 money value, so it is definetly possible on a normal hunt. Though I have not yet confirmed the minimum bracket lies at 40.001, I am convinced it is there, as the formula fits all the other items.

i didnt afford to pull an unsuccessfull hunt , because someone might hunt lv 9 oasis

This is an exceptional job you've done! I am left speechless at the effort behind your research.

Is there a point where harvesting an oasis will degrade the chance of success? I may have missed, but you were quite clear about successful hunts (and extraordinary ones) coming from the same oasis in succession. Do you think there would be variances in results if multiple accts harvest the same oasis rather than just one account with several hunts?

Also, it seems from your oasis efficiency graph that it's much more profitable to hunt a lv9 for 2 hours than it is for 8. Rather, four 2 hour harvests as opposed to one 8 hour hunt. This is pretty pertinent intel as it basically crumbles our beliefs in haypis old "8-12hour harvest" advice. Unless of course there really is a minimum to the exceptional harvest and 8 hours is it?

If I may offer my experience, I feel like daily gift is a big wheel of fortune (as unscientific as that sounds....). Have you noticed the same exact amounts that usually pop up? Aside from the occasional chest or box, that is. Also I've never received coins on an fb linked acct, but the three times I have received them, it was with accts that hadn't been logged into for weeks.

Again, I'm still in awe over this, especially by including those excel formulas, youve given access to everyone into the deepest secret of the developers. Well, one of 'em anyway

The explanation you do not have succes with copy and paste is that Excel operates with relative and absolute references. I don't mean to give a long excel tutorial here - there is plenty of knowledge out there if you google for e.g. "excel absolute relative reference". In the formula I entered, I put all cell references as relative references. When you copy from a relative reference, the copy will increment the column and row references relative to the original cell, you copied from. If you use "cut and paste", you keep the original cells reference. Alternatively, you can also hit F2 while in a cell to swith to edit mode, then select the full string in the cell and copy that. It will then be in the windows clipboard as a string, and you can paste it anywhere you want.
I mentioned absolute references. If you want, you could change some of the relative references to absolute references. You do this by putting a $ sign either in front of the column or row reference or both, e.g. @A1 (locks the column), A$1 (locks the row), $A$1 (locks both the row and the column).

Copy this formula into cell E14:
=MIN(2500*(20/(10+B10))*43200/(C10*3+D10*6+E10*2+F10*1);43200)

Read his prior post and he makes it clear that you must cut and paste, not copy/paste.

I would try again and see if that's the issue

Such formulas give me a huge headache..
